Jeremy got slammed onto the ground having been punched in the shoulder and kicked him in the stomach
The figure prepared to stomp on Jeremy's leg but luckily he rolled out of the way and for back up
Jeremy grabbed the figure by the arm doing a throw while the figure used its free hand to do a gut punch to Jeremy
Jeremy flinched but kept a tight grip on the arm dislocating it causing the figure to groan in pain
Through the short power hustle between the two Jeremy could tell it wasn't a old vampire due to lack of strength
He didn't give the vampire a break as he immediately struck it right in the balls with a strong kick showing it no mercy
"Agrrh" it screeched in pain trying to try is arm through Jeremy's chest
Jeremy dodged swiftly grabbing the man by his head and snapping it causing the man to faint
Jeremy unhooded the figure to see a face he has never seen before but he found it strange that the vampire did not intially try to pierce his heart and only tried to injure him
His cold eyes looked at the monster before he repeatedly stomped on its neck dying his shoes red
Usually he would have went with a more humane method of killing vamps but he didn't have a stake to use resorting to killing it through decapitation
After it was clearly dead he relaxed as the adrenaline faded causing the injuries he sustained to resurface which was only slightly relieved by his skill

Jeremy leaned against a lamppost to catch his breath he didn't care if someone saw him since the counsel would make an excuse for him since it was a vampire and he was a founding family member
He clutches onto his stomach regulating his breathing until the pain faded enough for him to not feel agonizing pain by just moving
He moved away from the scene wiping the blood off the curb of the road he walked on not encountering anyone else on the street he took
Jeremy was only a couple blocks away from his home he bumped into a girl by the corner causing him to tumble over
"Hey are you ok" she said extending her hand to him
"Yes im alright just hurt myself today" he said grabbing her hand
Jeremy took a look at her and he new who she was, after looking at her features he knew who she had. It was Anna and it was no way that she just BY chance encountered him right after he was attacked
"You look like you have a hard time walking, I'll walk you home my name's Anna by the way" she said in a pushy tone not taking no for an answer and wrapping his arm around her shoulder for support
"Thanks, I live right around the block. The name's Jeremy" he told her though she probably already knew
Jeremy contemplated running but it would have been pointless since she was an 500 year vampire added with his injuries it would have been impossible. Anna was also not planning on killing him since she wanted the Gilbert Journal and his blood
She helped him over to his house until he opened the door
"So you gonna let me in since I did help you" she asked him
"Sorry not a fan of strangers coming into my house but thanks for the help" he said before slamming the door in her face
"Usually that works" she muttered to herself disappointed her plan failed but equally curious how Jeremy managed to kill a newborn vampire without any weapons since even if it was a new vampire it should have been way superior to a human
"There's still plenty of time" Anna muttered before disappearing out of nowhere
Jeremy avoided Elena rushing into his room and locking the door
The last thing he needed was for Elena or Aunt Jenna to call the ambulance it would be suspicious if he recovered at extreme speeds and he wouldn't even be able to use the Gilbert Ring as an excuse since he didn't have one yet
Jeremy rested on the bed and focused on only recovering from his injuries
"Hey Jer its dinner" Elena knocked on his door
"I already ate with Caroline so please don't bother me anymore" he told her without opening his door keeping it locked
The pain in his stomach was greatly relieved but his shoulder wasn't feeling much better
He continued to rest only getting up to give Katerine a short report and his pain overwhelmed his feelings of disgust when she made another one of her creepy comments
Jeremy fell asleep without even noticing and by the time he woke up it was already the morning
He got up feeling little to no pain only done aches in his shoulder
He saw a text from Caroline asking him did he sleep well
[Quite well, better now] he replied having a smile seeing a text from Caroline

Jeremy was satisfied enough with his current skills and level of strength and once he threw a molotov cocktail into the soon to be opened tomb the points and how op Devourer would be from all of the ancient vampires
He was a small bit worried about Anna since he was convinced she was involved directly with the vampire attack he was just unsure exactly why
"Maybe she commanded the vampire to leave me alive then she would help me?" this was the only reason that made sense to him

Reading the description of this item made Jeremy delighted since whoever he gave this to would gain his Mind Resistance
Jeremy just had to be carefully to who he gave it to because of the emotionally connection thing

"Thanks for the explanation system. So definitely not Elena and since I dose her and Jenna's drinks I don't need to use it on them" he continued to brainstorm in his head but it was most likely going to be Caroline
"She doesn't have much defense against compulsion and I also don't mind her liking me more" for him it was like killing two birds with one stone
Jeremy left his room and went on with the rest of the week consisting of dosing the morning drink with vervain, working out and spending time with Caroline
It finally seemed calm but this norm would only last sooo long before the storm came and ruined it all
