Liana watched as Helena left her and Ethan in the hotel lobby. She felt relieved that she could finally be alone with Ethan, without Helena's presence to disturb her with her disdainful glances and her constant belittling remarks. Moreover, she wasn't prepared for Helena to ask the same question as Ethan was about to. Her cousin would question where she got the money to fund her travels.
The girl then invited Ethan to sit down and ordered some snacks to accompany their conversation. "What are the delicious snacks they have here?" Liana asked Ethan.
Ethan fell silent. The hotel didn't have any special snacks. They wanted to focus on serving quality main dishes.
"Why don't they have any?" Liana asked disappointedly. She was a fan of sweet treats. "Don't you have plenty of wild berries growing around the hotel? I saw them earlier!"
"The berries are served fresh or as a jam alongside the bread," the hotel server replied.
