Maya could clearly see some employees taking out their phones and sneaking some photos of them.
Her eyes scanned the crowds, searching for her friends. She was certain that Celia and Layla would shamelessly be taking photos and videos. And as expected beside a column stood the two women with their phones out taking photos, smiling.
The only thing they didn't do was to wave and call her name, something that would result in a disaster if they did.
Maya leaned forward and hugged her Grandpa.
"What are you doing out here?" he whispered to her.
"You seemed lonely, Grandpa, we thought you might want the company," she said loud enough for the employees to hear.
She was hoping that no one recognized her voice as she made it seem less soft and kind.
"Thank you," Carlton said as he smiled at her.
He then turned his attention to the crowd and decided that they should meet Maya and the rest of the family.
