章節 81: Drama at Miller Mansion

"I'll take him up," Nate offered to Maya. "Just tell me where."

Maya was nervous about telling him where to go, what if he discovered that Gabriel lived with her in her room? 

She wasn't ready to confess to him, she needed to keep her secret.

"Maya! A—a—and Nate!" her mom said as she came rushing into the hall. It looked like she had seen a ghost when she laid eyes on Gabriel sleeping in Nate's arms.

"Mom, can you take Gabriel up to my room?" Maya said, her mom gave her a confused look as if she was shocked that Maya would say this. "Gabriel didn't want to go with Celia, his parents said he could stay over. They will pick him up tomorrow."

"Alright," her mother said as she gestured for Nate to hand the child over.

Nate did and to his surprise, Gabriel went with her willingly.

"He's gained a lot of weight," Caroline Miller commented. 

"I have gifts for him," Nate said as he remembered the bag of toys carried by the bodyguard.
