For some reason, as our date started with such a light and joyful mood, our relationship softened and became more relaxed.

"I'll buy you an outfit. Let's go."

Veena's clothes were fine, but they were too formal and felt out of place on this lively street. So, I led her to a clothing store.

"How about this? Does it suit…?"

"It's really pretty!"

The white and blue dress I chose for her perfectly matched the refreshing vibe of the street. Veena seemed to have wanted a new dress as well, and when I offered to buy it, she gratefully accepted.

Of course, our shopping didn't stop there. 

Driven by my enthusiasm, I had Veena try on a variety of outfits. 

Sometimes she looked like a wealthy tourist, other times like a shy neighborhood girl or even the matriarch of a big family holding an umbrella.
