"The grand emperor is the former emperor." Muyang reminded her as if he had read her mind.

"Right." she  said. "Hold on," she said after a few seconds of realization, "Why are the retired royals here?"

Shouldn't they be in the capital city? she thought.

  "They came to meet Mei-Mei and ask you for a favor."
