章節 3: 03: Baby Life

Two babies faced each other, they were seated on a small high bed for babies. The babies were like night and day. One of them had blond hair and thundery blue eyes, while the other one had raven black hair and emerald green eyes.

After a second of silence, the blond baby 'jumped' at the other one with a childish chuckle. He held the other baby in a hug.

'Unhand me!' thought baby Loki with a pained expression. 'What's up with that freaky strength?'

Loki looked to the right, where a woman looked at them with a warm smile. "Don't look at me like that, Loki. Thor just wants to hug his little brother," she said while singing a piece of repetitive music.

Loki could not understand what she said, but he could feel it in her voice and eyes. She had abandoned him!

'Please, help!' he screamed in his mind, while tears welled up in his eyes. 'I am not crying! I hate being a baby…'

—(Line break)—

The two babies looked at each other. Even without being able to talk with each other, they could understand what the other wanted. And right now, Loki wanted a distraction.

So, as a good brother, Thor started crying. Seeing him crying, the nearby maid went to him and asked, "Do you want to poop?" she asked him. Thor nodded in response and as they went out of the room, he flashed a smile to Loki.

As both of them disappeared, Loki stood up and escaped through strenuous effort the prison called bed.

He went toward a table and picked a round thing that stood on top of it.

"Loki, what are you doing out of the bed?" asked the maid as she barged in with Thor in her arms.

'Shit!' thought Loki before quickly hiding his hand behind his back.

"Let's get you back to bed," she said, approaching him, her arms grand open. She took him in her arms and found the ball in his hand.

"Loki, what did I tell you? You can't have the ball for now. I can't let you have everything you want, or you may end up as a spoiled child and we don't want that from a prince." She said before taking the ball out of his hands.

'But it's boring!' His minor disappointment turned his body into a crying mess. 'Fucking baby body!'

—(Line break)—

Once again, the two babies looked at each other with mischievous smiles playing on their lips. There currently were no maids or guards around, meaning that they had the freedom to escape this accursed room.

With each other's help, they were able to climb above the bed rails. Nodding, they pushed the door open.

The hallway was vast and empty. On the ground, there was a long red carpet. *Baby sounds* (Let's go in!), another nod. They silently made their way toward a grand shining room. That room was vast, with many various stone statues. On the walls, there were many markings. At the end, side of the room, above golden stairs, stood a throne.

'Shit', *quiet baby sound* (retreat soldier!)

They fled as fast as their pudgy legs could carry them—which wasn't very fast at all. Once they escaped, the babies eagerly continued their adventure, wandering through a maze of mysterious rooms. Each room held its own secrets and wonders, enticing the curious infants further into the unknown depths of the palace. They marveled at the strange objects they found, touched the cool, smooth stones, and gazed in wonder at the ancient inscriptions on the walls.

After that excursion, they arrived back to their room, panting and giggling. Loki couldn't believe they hadn't been caught by anyone. He looked at Thor, and they both burst into laughter, their baby giggles filling the room.

But then, their laughs were stopped by a voice *hum hum*. Frightenedly their heads turned toward the sound. There stood their mother, Queen Frigga, her eyebrows lowered; her arms crossed, and her eyes burning with a cold flame.

"Where were you both?" she asked, her voice bringing them chills.

She looked at them, waiting for an answer, but they were babies and could not speak.

With innocent, wide eyes, Loki quickly crawled toward her and opened his arms for her to pick him up; a pure smile playing on his lips.

She looked at him, her expression unchanged, "Well, I guess you boys will be punished. No escapade outside for tomorrow," she told them.

The face of the two babies turned grim. 'Nooo!'

—(Line break)—

"Here is a story before bed, but after that, you two must go to bed," said Frigga with her two sons sitting on her. They both nodded, and she started reading a small book with images. Every time she fluttered the page, she showed the beautiful images to the boys.

Once upon a time, in a land called Asgard, there lived a wise and powerful king named Bor Burison. His golden hair shone like the sun, and his eyes sparkled with the light of a thousand stars. He was the protector of the nine realms and a fierce warrior, capable of rivaling entire armies with his strength and bravery.

From a young age, Bor was schooled in the ways of war and battle. Defying the odds, he deftly wielded his spear, Gungnir, using his cunningness and bravery to sway the course of battles in Asgard's favor. His armor remained untouched, and his horned helm struck terror into the hearts of those who opposed Asgard.

After many years of war and countless battles, Bor ascended to the throne as the last surviving member of the royal family. His rule was long and just lasting for thousands of years, an unheard-of feat in those bloody times.

But one day, a great threat emerged from the darkness. Born from the first darkness, a ruthless king, known as Malekith, ruled the dark elves of Svartfelheim. He sought to transform the universe into an eternal night, and he had waited for the Convergence, a time in which all the nine realms were aligned, to unleash his plan.

The dark elves had thrived in the shapeless void known as Ginnungagap, where they were the oldest and strongest species in existence. However, as light and darkness came to touch, and the universe was thus created, their power dwindled. They fled to the darkest place in the nine realms, Svartfelheim, where they grew strong and dangerous in the shadows.

Bor knew that he needed to hasten to protect the nine realms from this terrible fate. So, he called upon his armies to march into Svartfelheim. The destiny of the entire universe hung in the balance, as Bor and his armies clashed with the malevolent forces of darkness.

With all his might, Bor fought against the darkness, determined to bring an end to the eternities of bloodshed and protect his people from harm. Blood flowed and countless lives were lost, but in the end, Bor was able to disarm Malekith of his weapon, Aether, and bring an end to the dark elf's plan of eternal night.

And so, the nine realms were saved from the darkness, and Bor returned home to Asgard as a hero.
