Arca's whip flew forward in a direct line, like an attacking snake. It struck only mist, but as the flames cleaved through it, Arca prayed it dealt at least some damage.

When Spezzian gathered again several meters to the side, Arca found himself disappointed. The vampire's appearance was still pristine, and his lips were now curved in a cruel smirk.

"Priest… I see you didn't take my warning to heart. You had the raw power to take out Bianco, and dumb luck to defeat Aria. But here, now, you will die." Spezzian pointed under his feet. "You first, then Irmilla. If I do things myself, then I always do them right."

Spezzian's arrogant words threw Arca's mind several days back. It was not long before Aria's death, when he tried to use her Sending Amulet to gather information on Spezzian.

Arca had sent a message, posing as Aria, to confirm the deaths of himself and Irmilla. He hoped Spezzian would decide on a meeting place to give Aria her reward.
