He turned towards Irmilla. The woman's calm face completely hid her true emotions.

"Signora von Rotermond, you stated yourself that this is a task that is fit for a mage of sixth rank, not mages of fourth and fifth ranks. In other words, it was impossible for us to win by direct means. Is it REALLY against the rules for me to use some savvy to cast this spell?"
