In moments, we were back in my office. I was tired, but I still felt like there was something else I needed to do. Something that I just couldn't let go. And I knew exactly what it was. The other gods. 

It was them. They had caused this entire mess. They left this world is disarray when they went to the mortal realm to transfer power to me. If they had let me come to them, there would never have been that gap in time, the speeding of days here before I came back to put an end to the destruction.

Oh, and then there was the fact that they knew there was discourse. They knew there were people among the demons who were extremely displeased with me taking over, but they said nothing. They were just in a hurry to get out of here and into their new lives.
