"I'm sorry, daddy!" I said as I hugged him back. I was crying on his shoulder and unable to see his face. I wasn't looking into anyone's face really. It was just too much for me.

"Saylor, sweetheart, son, you don't need to keep saying that." Daddy Makai said with a soft and soothing voice. "We know you didn't mean to cause any problems. We were just so worried about you. So very scared that something would happen to you, and we would lose you forever." He hugged me now as well. His tears instantly wet the shoulder of my shirt.
