I was glad that Rika had agreed to come out here with me. I needed this place and the magic that it held. Still, I wasn't all that happy that her mate had tried to act like I was going to hurt her. Like I was a brutal monster that couldn't be trusted around my own sister. I was pissed this morning, yeah, but I had never and would never hurt her. 

She was my sister, my twin, the other half of who I was when I was born. She has her mate, and that means that he is her other half now, but until I have my mate, Rika is my other half, and that's how it's supposed to be. That's why the Goddess made twins among the super naturals so special. We were linked and bonded in a way that no two other people could ever hope for.

"Are you alright?" Rika asked me the moment that we were both sitting and staring at the horizon, the line of trees and mountains that were there and the cities in the distance.
