Haley seemed to be a little dazed when we first got back inside of my apartment. No that wasn't right. It was our apartment. From this day onward, this wasn't just my place, it was ours, a shared space with the woman that I loved and would cherish for the rest of time.

"Are you alright?" I asked Haley as I pulled her into my arms.

"Y..yeah, I'm fine." She smiled up at me, and I could tell that she mostly meant it.

"You're worried about what happened with Bethany, aren't you?" I rubbed soothingly on her arms, chaffing them with my palms to give her some more warmth. Mostly though, it was just to show her that I was here and that I wasn't going anywhere.
