I knew that my parents wanted us to come and visit them. That had been something that we had talked about when I had gone to visit them recently. And, at that time, I had no problem with going with the man that I was fated to be with, the man that I loved. However, now that time had passed a little more, I was starting to get nervous about it all.

I knew that Elias was nervous about the trip as well. He wasn't sure what my father was going to say when we got there. What, with my dad thinking that Elias was bewitching me and making me fall for him that way. I knew that it had upset him quite a bit when he had heard that.

Still, we were both doing our best to be strong and to stay positive, despite all of the things that had been happening lately. I mean, Elias, the wonderful and brave man that he was, had been super busy lately as he investigated the attacks on those two people.
