章節 37: Don't die...

"Kughh!!" A loud and painful voice left Aiden's mouth. He looked down at his stomach and saw a big hole in it.

"Gulp..." He instantly gulped after seeing this and dropped on the ground afterwards.

"Aiden!!" Ivy screamed and quickly approached him, not caring about the demonic beast that was looking at her with a murderous look.

She kept approaching him until a loud noise pierced through the thin air.

"Swoosh-!" A piece of rock nearly hit ivy in the face but she was lucky enough to dodge it.

She looked at the demonic beast which was powerful enough to throw a rock at the speed, which only a powerful cultivator could achieve.

"ahh!!" She screamed and ran towards Aiden, not waiting for the demonic beast.

Aiden lay on the ground, gasping for breath as he tried to fight the pain wracking his body. The wound in his stomach was deep, and he could feel the life draining out of him with each passing moment.

Ivy knelt down beside him, tears streaming down her face. "Aiden, hang on! We'll find a way to heal you!"

She looked at him in the eyes, trying to not make a desperate face.

But Aiden knew that it was too late. He looked up at Ivy, his vision growing dim. "I'm sorry, Ivy. I don't think...I'm going to make it, I am sure that master Rias will do something. But for now, you have to save the dragonling..." He tried to not make it sound too serious but it was still very concerning.

The old sect master stepped forward, her sword at the ready. "We'll torture you like hell if anything happens to this boy, you beastly demon!! Let's take down this demon!"

The others nodded in agreement, their determination renewed. They charged towards the demonic beast, their weapons clashing against its thick hide.

The beast let out a deafening roar, its claws raking through the air. The old sect master dodged to the side, her sword flashing in the dim light of the cave. She landed a glancing blow on the creature's flank, but it barely seemed to notice.

One of the elders, a burly man with a bushy beard, stepped forward and unleashed a powerful blast of chaos energy. The blast struck the beast square in the chest, knocking it back a few steps.

But the beast was not so easily defeated. It let out another roar and charged forward once more, its eyes burning with a fierce intensity.

The group fought on, their movements quick and precise. But the beast seemed to be getting stronger with each passing moment, its attacks growing more ferocious.

Suddenly, the old sect master let out a cry of pain. Aiden's eyes widened in horror as he saw the creature's claws sink deep into her shoulder.

Without thinking, Aiden summoned all of his strength and stood up, his sword at the ready. He charged towards the beast, his heart filled with a fierce determination.

The beast turned towards him, its eyes gleaming with a fierce hunger. Aiden gritted his teeth and swung his sword with all his might.

The blade connected with the creature's flesh, slicing deep into its side. The beast let out a roar of pain and stumbled back, its movements growing sluggish.

The others saw their chance and pounced on the creature.

At the exact moment, Aiden fell on the ground, almost looking lifeless but Ivy's demonic senses proved that he was still alive.

Ivy rushed to Aiden's side, her hands glowing with a soft blue light. She used her demonic powers to heal him as best she could, but it was clear that he needed more advanced medical care.

The demon beast roared with rage and launched itself towards the group. The old sect master was the first to react, unleashing a flurry of sword strikes at the beast. But the demon was too fast, dodging and weaving between her attacks.

Meanwhile, the five elders joined forces, unleashing powerful spells that caused the ground to shake and the air to crackle with energy. But even their combined might couldn't take down the demon.

Ivy stood protectively over Aiden's unconscious form, her eyes flicking between him and the demon. She knew that they couldn't hold out much longer against such a powerful opponent.

Suddenly, a fierce wind whipped up, causing everyone to stagger back. The demon reared up on its hind legs, its eyes wide with fear.

In the distance, a figure could be seen approaching. As it drew closer, the group could see that it was a man, tall and imposing, with long black hair and piercing blue eyes.

He strode towards the demon, a sword in his hand that glowed with an otherworldly light. With a single swift motion, he sliced through the demon's neck, causing it to fall to the ground with a sickening thud.

The man turned to face the group, his eyes scanning over them. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice cold and sharp.

The old sect master stepped forward, her sword at the ready. "We are cultivators from the Azure Phoenix Sect. And who are you, stranger?"

The man's lips curled into a small smile. "My name is Kael," he said, sheathing his sword. "And I am a wandering cultivator."

He walked over to Aiden and knelt beside him, placing a hand on his forehead. "He's badly injured," Kael said, looking up at the group. "We need to get him to a healer right away."

The group nodded in agreement, and they set off towards the nearest town. Ivy carried Aiden on her back, her face set in a determined expression.

As they walked, Kael told them about his travels, and the many powerful demons he had faced in his time as a wandering cultivator. The group listened in rapt attention, eager to learn from his experiences.

Finally, they reached the town, and Kael led them to a small shop on the outskirts. Inside, an old woman was tending to a group of injured cultivators.

Kael explained the situation to the woman, and she immediately got to work on Aiden's injuries. Ivy watched anxiously as the woman worked, her heart pounding in her chest.

Ivy had a very serious look on her face, she mumbled. "Don't die... Aiden, I will be waiting for your recovery."

Without any special connection between them, she still felt emotionally attached to him.

She didn't know why, but this was not deniable.

Finally, after what felt like hours, the old woman stepped back, wiping the sweat from her brow.

Ivy has a expectant face and sank down onto a nearby chair. Kael walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "You did well," he said softly.

Ivy looked up at him, a tear rolling down her cheek. "I couldn't protect him," she whispered.

Kael smiled at her, his eyes full of understanding. "You did everything you could. That's all anyone can ask for." she couldn't help but pity this state of the cute demonic girl. "But as for now... He will-
