章節 36: A demon!?

The scream was familaiar to them... they instantly knew that it was the dragon's scream.

"Hurry up! We've gotta find the dragon!" The old sect master used her flying sword and took off.

Everyone followed after her with a look of seriousness and urgency on their face.

They all approached the cave near them as the screams of the dragon were coming from there.

As they approached the cave, Aiden's heart was pounding with anticipation. He had heard the prophecy about the last remaining royal dragon from Ivy, but he had never thought he would be the one to save the dragon. He had only ever met a dragon once before, and that had been a good experience for him. He remembered the creature's unyielding spirit, and he knew that the royal dragon would be thousands of times better.

He was already starting to have thoughts of taming the royal dragon and fly on its back.

The group charged into the cave, led by the old sect master on her flying sword. Aiden followed closely behind, feeling a sense of determination and purpose that he had never experienced before.

The cave was dark and damp, and the air was filled with the stench of blood and rot. Aiden could feel the weight of the dragon's fate on his shoulders, and he knew that they had to act fast if they were going to save it.

As they moved deeper into the cave, Aiden heard the sound of metal clanging against scales. He could feel his pulse quickening with excitement and fear, knowing that they were getting closer to the dragon.

Finally, they came upon a large chamber, and in the center was the royal dragonling. Aiden and Ivy gasped in unison, recognizing the dragonling from the forest.

"It's the same dragonling we met in the forest!" Ivy exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock.

Aiden felt a surge of emotion welling up inside him as he saw the dragonling's condition. He knew that they had to act fast if they were going to save it.

But then he saw an old man, the old man was very strange, emitting dark and evil aura.

The man was tall and gaunt, with long, greasy hair and cold, dead eyes. Aiden could feel his malevolent aura radiating off him in waves, and he knew that this was the man who had captured and tortured the dragonling.

"Stop right there!" shouted the old sect master, her voice echoing throughout the chamber. "Release the dragonling immediately!"

The old man turned around, revealing a sinister grin on his face. "Well, well, well. What do we have here? A group of pure souls come to save the day?"

Aiden felt a shiver run down his spine as he stared into the old man's cold, dead eyes. He could feel the man's malicious intent, and he knew that they were not facing some weak opponent this time.

The old man unsheathed his whip with spikes on, ready to fight.

The group also prepared themselves for battle, knowing that their lives and the dragonling were being threatened.

Aiden drew his own sword, feeling its weight in his hand. He knew that he had to fight with everything he had if they were going to save the dragonling.

The battle started with the old man attacking the old sect master with his whip.

"Swoosh-!" The whip pierced through the air, almost hitting the old sect master but she managed to dodge.

Aiden didn't back off after this, he grabbed his sword tightly and shouted.

"Hyaah!" He shouted, attacking the old man's left arm.

The sword pierced through the arm of the old man but with the use of some powerful healing spell, the old man recovered soon.

"Ugh!" Aiden tightened his grip of the sword. He was really worried at this moment.

The old man had extraordinary skills, making the battle fierce and intense. With swords clashing and spells flying, the cave was being lightened up and then again, it went dark. Aiden fought with all his might, feeling the dragonling's fate resting on his shoulders.

As they fought, Aiden noticed that the old man's movements were growing slower and more labored. It seemed that the man was getting tired, and Aiden knew that they had to take advantage of this.

"Everyone, now!" he shouted, signaling for the group to attack.

They charged forward, their weapons flashing in the dim light of the cave. The old man fought back with all his might, but it was no use. The group overwhelmed him with their sheer numbers, and soon he fell to the ground, defeated.

Aiden and Ivy rushed to the dragonling's side, untying its ropes and checking its injuries. The dragonling looked up at them with wide, grateful eyes, and Aiden could feel a sense of triumph welling up inside him.

But then he heard a sound behind him.

Turning around, he saw that the old man was still alive, and he was crawling towards them with a wicked glint in his eyes. Aiden knew that there was something wrong, he decided to finish him off once and for all as they were going to be in danger as long as the old man was still alive.

Without a second thought, Aiden charged towards the old man, his sword raised high. The old man chanted a powerful skill to fight back, but Aiden's sword skill was too quick and too strong. With a final blow, Aiden defeated the old man, and he fell to the ground, lifeless.

Aiden breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that they had finally saved the dragonling. He turned around to look at the others, and he saw that they were all quite relieved now.

The old sect master stepped forward,. "Well done, Aiden. I didn't think a young boy could be so powerful..."

Aiden felt a surge of pride welling up inside him, knowing that he had done something good today. He turned to look at Ivy, and he saw that she was smiling at him with a look of admiration in her eyes.

As Aiden and the others basked in their victory, they suddenly heard a low growling sound coming from deeper within the cave.

"What's that?" Aiden asked, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightly.

The old sect master turned towards the source of the sound, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. "It sounds like there's another creature in there. We must be careful."

The group cautiously made their way towards the source of the sound, their weapons at the ready. As they entered a large chamber, they saw a figure in the distance, hunched over and snarling.

Aiden squinted, trying to make out the figure in the dim light. "Is that...another dragon?"

But as the figure turned towards them, Aiden could see that it was not a dragon at all. It was a massive, hulking beast with razor-sharp claws and teeth that glinted in the darkness.

"It's a...demon?" Ivy whispered, her eyes widening in fear.

The creature let out another ear-splitting roar, and Aiden knew that they were in for another fight. The group braced themselves for battle, ready to take on this new threat.

Aiden could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he prepared to face this new enemy. Would they be able to defeat it, or would this be the end of their journey?

The creature charged towards them, its massive frame shaking the ground beneath their feet. Aiden gritted his teeth and prepared to fight for his life.

"Kughh-!
