The marked arena grew wider as the designated fighters took place, facing each other in a somewhat chaotic formation. 

The muscular twins, Henricus and Albanus, huddled together at the edges of the battlefield despite technically being enemies. The Underdahl sisters were as much wary of the magi outside the bounded field as of those inside, and Gessius stood in the middle as if beckoning everyone to attack him at once. 

"Three. Two. One. You may begin the battle." 

Alfgeir sighed with a shake of his head, muttering, "This might take a while." 

Gessius immediately pointed at the sisters with his still-valid hand. "Come at me, both of you! I'll make it quick and painless since you're acquaintances of my Lord, but that's as far as my kindness will go." 

"I'd advise against facing those two by yourself," Alfgeir said. 

"Huh? What do you mean, old man?"
