"Now we know why we haven't left this place," Geleb said.

Morne nodded, pulling his mask over his mouth and strapping his goggles over his eyes. To his side, Geleb did the same, and afterward fished his gloves out of a pocket and slipped them on.

"Remember," Geleb told Morne, "don't let his skin touch yours."

The two started off toward the Boknul cautiously, grips tightening on the hilts of their swords.

The cursed Nasnami watched them approach curiously, an eyebrow raising slightly as he realized the direction they were coming from and noticed the blood on their clothes.

"So she's dead. And by the hands of two humans, no less." The Boknul tsk'd and shook his head in mock sorrow. "A shame. She was a good lay."

The humans remained silent as they continued their advance.

"Let me guess. You want to kill me, and you want to do it fast. Am I right? Judging by your awful taste in clothing, you know what I am, and what I'm capable of.
