Hua Ye was looking at him with a smile, "You do like me so why did you reject me whenever I confessed my feelings to you?"

"Hua Ye, it's true that I have feelings for you," Chen Xi admitted softly, his voice tinged with a mix of vulnerability and regret. "But I pushed you away because I was scared. You already know about my family. If anything happens then I won't have a way to save you."
