章節 36: Some guy I know
The window was banged even louder, "Lin Ye get out! I know it is you."
The person outside was relentless, Lin Ye really wanted to hide but there was nowhere to, it seems as if that person really knew it was her.
Chen Xi looked outside but he could still not see the persons face clearly so he turned towards Lin Ye, "Who is it?"
Lin Ye looked at him sourly, "No one important, just some guy I knew before."
Chen Xi's eyes constricted, "Guy?"
Lin Ye felt a headache coming, "Not a guy guy but a guy I know."
Chen Xi looked at her, "You are repeating yourself."
Lin Ye swallowed bitterly, "I know."
The guy was Xie Nan. He was some rich heir of the Xie empire.
The Xie family dealt with electronic production and they were the number one manufacturers of mobile phones in the country, Xie Nan could be considered quite the rich guy.
He had two older siblings who pampered him greatly and his parents doted on him, he was a child they had when they had gotten quite old and he was also the only male child in the family.
Lin Ye had met him back when she was still in medical school and when her father, Lin Qiao had known about their acquaintance, he had expressed his desire to form an engagement between the two of them but Lin Ye refused.
Xie Nan on the other hand was all in because he had already fallen in love with Lin Ye.
He once told her that he had fallen in love with her at first eyesight and he was never going to marry anyone else other than her.
She was unwilling because she did not love him. He could only accept so they remained friends until Lin Ye had to move to a different city.
After that, they had never met until today.
Xie Nan could be considered a good guy but...he talked too much!
Lin Ye always felt tired hearing him speak so she always left him alone which was why she did not want to interact with him today!
Chen Xi listened to her story and sighed, "So he was your fiance?"
Lin Ye looked at him in anger!
Of all the things she had said, that was the only part he heard? What was wrong with him?
She was starting to suspect Chen Xi had selective hearing!
Lin Ye had no other choice but to lower her glass window and then she plastered the fakest smile Chen Xi had ever seen, "Hi Xiao Nan, how have you been?"
Xie Nan's head bobbed inside her glass window, "Xiao Ye, what do you mean by this? Why have you been ignoring me?'
Lin Ye wiped the nonexistent sweat in her brows, "How can I ignore you, I have just been busy!"
Xie Nan calmed down, "Is that so?"
Lin Ye smiled, "Of course."
The lights were dim so Xie Nan could not see Chen Xi who was in the car. If he did then all hell would break loose!
Xie Nan's anger seemed to disappear, "What are you doing here? After everything that witch Lin Xue did to you, you still came to her engagement party? Are you mad?"
Lin Ye had never forgotten so how could Xie Nan forget?"
Lin Ye smiled, "You are also here."
Xie Nan kicked the tyres in anger, "My old man told me to come. He wants me to find a wife here on my own or else I am not allowed to go back home."
Lin Ye laughed at him. Xie Nan looked at him sourly, "If you had accepted to be my wife back then I would not have problems right now! This is all your fault!"
Lin Ye now had a headache, "How is it my fault that you don't have a wife?"
Lin Ye and Xie Nan loved to gossip back then. She liked how childish Xie Nan would get so she always egged him on to get the juiciest stories like right now she had even forgotten that Chen Xi was in the car.
Xie Nan lamented, "I have been unable to fall in love with any other woman. None of them gives me the same vibe that you did. Lin Ye if I end up dying a bachelor then it is all your fault!"
Lin Ye choked. She had to change the subject or else they would not get out of here.
She looked at Xie Nan, "How about you go in first then we can catch up after the party is over? Look at the time, the party has started already!"
Xie Nan was easily distracted so as soon as Lin Ye said that, he hurried inside to wait for her.
Lin Ye left out a breath of relief!
She turned around and Chen Xi's eyes almost scared the hell out of her,
"AAAH!"
