epilogue
The path to darkness is a slow one....yet in the end his hands where still soaked with the blood of friends and enemy's alike.
Eyes fluttering he took in his new surroundings.
He had been reborn, the unknown all around him.
A male vampire talking to him, outing his worries.
How did he know? Well he had after all wished to be reborn as a vampire. So it makes sense to be surrounded by vampires.
He quessed that that man was his new father.
Yet no mother in sight.
The system had spoken and he for the first time ever used magic.
The feeling thrilled him, the thing he had wanted in his past life had come.
As time passed he will find a way to use all magic. Adrian promised himself that he wouldn't stop at being a vampire.
The whole world shall be his.
Except it didn't.
The realisation of his new world not being the only one had left him stunned as he woke up in yet another body.
He should have known, this whole time he felt like a puppet on a string.
Pushed in one direction, the other leaving him straight into death's arms.
A soothing thought where it not for the painful ways he would die.
And now that he finally had magic and so much more in his hands, would he ever be capable of giving it back up?
His decisions time and time again made it clear that the answer was no.
As he watched world's burn because of his actions, war raged because of his greed.
He wouldn't stop.
Whoever pulling his strings will not win so easily.
Everything left him overthinking as more people came his way, people that made him stronger one way or another.
A full blood moon elf with who he shared a bond.
A bond so mystic that even after years he hadn't found a clue as to why it existed.
It didn't stop there.
Another vampire, traumatized vampire relied on him.
His existence right next to him surely for a reason.
A member of the dragon clan, strong and fierce.
A human.
The list goes on.
Every race at least one.
Suspicious. All surrounded him and cared for him or at the very least wanted something from him, one having a crush on his bondmate.
That was until he came.
A demon that shouldn't have existed.
Should have been wiped out with no mention left in sight.
Yet he was there and just like Adrian seemed to be pushed in the directions that would make him stronger.
His own chosen personality as Adrian left him unable to make close bonds with the demon.
Yet for whatever reason Aelis could.
It would leave him dumbfounded the threats turned into over protectiveness yet when he had been hypnotized he acted like he owned Aelis.
A disturbed feeling.
The difference high and very unusual.
Then again so where a lot of others.
A heroine who liked to be in control, meek and shy was what he would be.
Another who liked fierce, so that's what he brought up. Cities left in marbles as he laughed and laughed.
A hero acting in the greater good yet left him in shackles. His own attitude and actions would bite him in the ass as Zephyr would turn humanity against him.
The sister he so carefully cared for would turn her back on him. Disappointed at who he had become.
The best thing that none of it was the hero's fault. He was being played, left unaware of the true scenes playing behind the curtain.
The world he was in, destined for destruction so when people finally saw a glimmer of hope, how could they allow that glimmer to be treated badly or even die.
The more they searched the more they found and the hero once in the light was now in the dark.
The irony didn't escape him.
Different challenges each time, one world he would destroy, the other he would save.
One where he was the King and the other just a slave.
A race against world's and times.
