Cassey paused. She did not notice the bag in his hands before but now that she looked at it. It was the same bag she had last night.

  She had left it in the carriage when she was dragged out.

"All the men involved in the accident were taken to the prison. Their hideout was checked and so was the carriage.

I found the bag there and knew it belonged to you so I bought it for you." he smiled at her as if she should be thankful to him.

But he was surprised when the girl who was glaring at him just a moment ago, started crying.

Tears fell from her eyes like a broken dam before she closed them and took a deep breath.

"Hey! I didn't mean to harass you. I thought the books would be important."He stood up straighter and looked around with a panicked look. Afraid that someone might misunderstand him.

"Lady, I assure you that I am a knight here. I never had any indent contact with any woman. If you do not want books, I will take them back.
