Something churned deep inside Ana. her eyes scanned the room, lingering a second more on all the exits and then stopping at Lucas's smirking face. He gave a look telling he knew what went through her mind but she only shrugged.

"Why? Do I scare you, Lady Anastasia?" his eyes moving from her face to her belly, "i should be the one scared at this moment." he knew? Of course he knew? Ana's hands itched to hold her belly tightly and cover it but she resisted the urge as she kept his gaze.

"So, are you afraid of me?" arrogance! If he could fake it, she could. El had told her that this man loves tormenting others. He enjoys their fear, basking on it. If he wanted fear from her, she would never give him the satisfaction.
