章節 50: Artifact
"Maybe I should retire," Steven said to himself as he saw that his student was progressing way too fast. At this rate, Arthur was going to get through everything that Steven had to teach him in a couple months if Steven was lucky. Just as Steven almost began to cry, Egris stepped into the classroom and began to talk to Arthur.
"Stop messing around, it's time for you to head to your next class Arthur. Thank you for all your hard work Mr. Steven," said Egris to which he turned his attention on Arthur which snapped his fingers together and caused the 10 are ruins of aura to turn into nothingness before he opened his spell to place his blade back to his storage void before finally going with Egris.
"Thank you for being such a nice teacher Mr. Steven, I learned a lot thanks to you," said Arthur before he left with Egris to go to his next class.
"So what do you think?" Egris asked to which Arthur replied with a smile on his face.
"He was such a nice teacher. I really will progress a lot in this school if things keep going this way. Even so, I have to say that both him and doctor Rosie are rather equal in their teaching capability. I truly can't pick favourites," said Arthur as the two finally made it to Arthur's next class which was a little more different from the other two classes. It wasn't a lecture hall much like the other two classes and it wasn't a place for books or anything. Instead, it was a place where the average blacksmith would work.
"What's this?" Arthur asked to which Egris replied with a grin on his face.
"It's a class you're going to enjoy, after all, you're more of a physical student," said Egris as he pushed Arthur forward to which a tall giant man came forward to greet Arthur.
"Hello there Arthur," said the tall giant man which had a thick black bread on his face and carried a large hammer over his shoulder.
"What's wrong? You seem scared," said the giant man before giving Arthur a pat on his head.
"Don't worry, I'm not a mean teacher," said Arthur's new teacher and although he was a scary giant man, he didn't seem to have any ill intentions.
"Well, this is your artifact construction class. Here you'll learn how to make weapons best fit for battle and how to adjust them so that they can inculpate different aspects to them," said Arthur's new teacher.
"I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Mr, Daniel however you can just call me Dan, I'm not that serious on titles. Just show me respect for being your teacher and we'll get along well," said Dan to which Arthur gave a nod before asking a question.
"What do you mean by different aspects?" Arthur asked as he didn't understand what Dan had said properly.
"Oh ya, you're probably accustomed to blades that are dungeon drops or made for a specific purpose. You see, weapons can be constructed to have a lot of different attributes. Let me just show you," said Dan before fining a bucket of different blades and axes before pulling a blade out of there which was more of a pocket knife. Looking at Arthur's face, he didn't seem all that excited specially considering what his previous teaches had been capable of.
"Look here now," said Dan as he placed his finger on the blade which caused it to be covered in flames eye the blade didn't seem to be getting any hotter as it remained its cool black colour.
Next, Dan placed a second finger on the blade which caused it to be covered in pure ice which caused the blade to go from pocket sized to a full 60 inch blade that Dan carried with two hands by the hilt.
Next, Dan placed three fingers on the blade which caused the ice to disappear and cause the blade to return to its original form before getting covered in a purple liquid that burned the ground that was most likely deadly poison. At 4 fingers through, the blade turned into a stick which was rather odd.
"Why would you turn it into a stick?" Arthur asked to which Dan gave a reply which made sense.
"Well, it's easy to camouflage and get it into areas that it's not supposed to be in. It's quite simple when you think about it. You see, even if a place had metal detectors, they're not made to detect magic and metal at the same time. And more specifically, there aren't any magic detectors because it's the most common thing that we all share on this planet other than air," Dan explained before causing the stick to return to its original form.
"Is that all? That was pretty impressive," said Arthur as he was quite a bit excited to learn what Dan had to offer him.
"Not just yet, there's one last ability that his blade has," said Dan to which Arthur thought that it couldn't be cooler than the previous abilities that Dan had showed him.
"Well, it's kind of a failed experiment but it still works a little," said Dan as he placed his palm on the blade and sliced it open and the strange thing was that the blade was absorbing the blood. Shortly after, Dan pulled his palm away and pointed his blade at the pile of other weapons he had. Instantly, the blade began to pull the weapons towards itself before it stuck to it.
Seeing this, Arthur instantly began to clap in awe.
"How is something that cool a failed experiment? It's so cool!" Arthur yelled out as he could possiblly have the power of magnetism on his blade. That would allow him to disarm any and all of his opponents with ease.
"Well, it actually is a failed experiment. You see, the original purpose of it was to pull iron. But more specifically iron in a human's blood," Dan explained.
