"Call the team; we have new info. But let's talk about it in the apartment rather than here," Caspian said as he slumped on his chair, his eyes showing exhaustion despite being a dhampir who would supposedly have great stamina.

[Alright. You'll be heading home first?]

"Yeah, it's been a long day," Caspian chuckled as he stood up and grabbed the car keys.

[Oh, alright. Should I call them now? I might be a bit delayed; I'm managing some stuff right now. It's seven right now, right? I'll probably clock out at eight.] Abby said with a rueful sigh.

"Ah, just call them after you're finished so no one will miss any information."

Hearing the end phrase, Caspian couldn't help but smile as a warm feeling rose from his body. On the other hand, Abby had an expectant expression as she waited for Caspian to reply. After a second, Caspian replied with embarrassment, "I love you too."
