Well, I didn't expect that from Dav but yes, I will always fight for us. I still don't know why he was so worked up about this. I haven't felt the effect of the 'mistake' mark and I don't think I would ever feel the effect.

To ease the situation, I assured Dav of what he so much wanted to hear, at least, he had changed his mind of taking me away from the house, that is the least I could do.

He let go of me and now, his smile was back. He took my hand to his face and kissed the back of my palm. 

"Thank you, wife." He said. "... I will also not betray your trust in me." Not as if he had a choice. Unlike me, if Dav decided to go to another… Well, we all know what happens to him. 

But before I could respond to his words, someone who I hadn't talked to barged into our room… roughly. He was panting as he tried to catch his air which made my heart beat in fear. 

What would have made Leo behave in such a manner? Did Seth do anything drastic?
