Adrian stood by the riverbank, watching as his puppets worked tirelessly to build two more fishing cabins. He had noticed that fish was in high demand in the nearby towns and villages, and he wanted to capitalize on that.
"Make sure you build them near the deep parts of the river," Adrian called out to the puppets. "We need to catch as many fish as possible."
The humanoid puppets nodded in unison and continued their work. Meanwhile, Adrian turned his attention to the thirty puppets he had assigned to gather wood and stone resources. He watched as they chopped down trees, collected rocks, and brought them back to the base.
Adrian knew that resources were crucial to his plans for expanding and fortifying his land. With more resources, he could build more structures, create more weapons, and improve his puppets' overall capabilities.
"Keep up the good work," Adrian said to the resource-gathering puppets. "We need as much wood and stone as we can get."
He then turned his attention to the fishing cabins again, pleased with the progress his puppets had made. He could already envision the fish they would catch and the profits they would bring in.
Adrian knew that he needed to keep growing and expanding his land. With the watchtowers in place, he felt more secure about the threats from the barbarians. But he also knew that he couldn't afford to be complacent. He needed to keep pushing forward and exploring new opportunities for growth and prosperity.
Adrian took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment. The air became dark as the time passed, and he sat on the campfire as always.
"I too sometimes feel the need to have some human connection."
Adrian thought. In the end, even if he has many puppets around to keep him company, as a human he still wants to have a connection to some people. He is not an hermit, at least not right now. He is not at that point.
He still likes to have a chat here and there with humans and show off some of his places to them. These are usual human traits, and he is still a human despite the things he is capable of.
Adrian woke up in the middle of the night and began to channel his magic to create twenty more wood wolves. As the wolves took shape, he commanded them to listen to Alpha, the leader of the wolves. The wood wolves stood up and wagged their tails, ready to follow Alpha's lead.
Adrian watched as Alpha approached the new wolves and introduced himself. He explained that he was the leader of the pack and that they would be working together from now on. The wood wolves listened attentively, showing their respect for Alpha.
Alpha was pleased to have twenty more wolves under his command. He took his new pack on a tour of the Glen Forest and taught them the rules of the pack. He showed them where to hunt, where to sleep, and what to stay away from.
Adrian smiled as he watched the interaction between Alpha and the new pack. He knew that the wood wolves were a valuable asset to his land, and he was happy to see that Alpha was taking charge.
As the night passed, Adrian gave some final commands to the wood wolves and then went back to sleep, feeling confident that his land was well-protected by his growing army of puppets.
