Lin Yu'an decided to check the treasures of the mountain in the village, after leaving the village head's house he made his way to the mountains. He enabled the system map when he got to the foot of the mountain and armed himself with a machete before going ahead to study it. There were three types of colourful dots showing on the map, red, green and white. Red for animals, green for herbs and white for fruits and vegetables, and the colours are from very dim to very bright. The brighter the color the fiercer the animal or valuable the herbs. He avoided all ferocious animals with the help of the map and went about picking herbs from valuable to less valuable herbs, the most valuable herbs he picked were a hundred years and thousand years old ginsengs he was so lucky enough to spot with his cheat system map.
He huntered three hares and two pheasants before leaving the mountains making his way back home. On the way home the villagers who saw him with the basket on his back full of preys watched him with envious eyes. The villagers don't eat meat much because they couldn't afford it, and there was only one hunter living in the village. They get to eat meat only in the days when the hunter was able to hit more preys to sell in town leaving some spares to sell cheaply in the village. So seeing Lin Yu'an with that many preys they were very envious wishing they could go snatch those preys, but no one was willing to take the first step recalling his intimidating self and the state he beat the thugs to.
They were really wishing he was that same Lin Yu'an who was easy to be bullied, because most of them heard news of his visit to the village head's house and promise to live in a better way. They took it as a joke but seeing him now, they couldn't help but start to believe.
" boy Lin did you go and hunt in the mountains? " a woman asked with hippocratic smile blocking his way. He gave the woman the look which says ' can't you tell by looking?! ' but he still chose to indulge her and answered " i actually went to pick some herbs.... but i was lucky enough to catch these preys " he said bored. He was going to live in the village for very very long so he had to get along with the villagers. That only applies to the sensible ones, and the woman in front of him was far from that. She started to stretched her neck wanting to see the inside of the basket with greed all over her face.
Lin Yu'an turn side ways with the basket avoiding her eyes, she finally stopped when she noticed that he didn't want her to take a look. She felt furious but still had her hippocratic smile not intending to loose it " ah! boy Lin the preys you hit are more than enormous for your family of four.... " Lin Yu'an arched his brows knowing what she was trying to say. But he quickly cut her off with no intention of loosing even a hair of the preys to her " aunty i have to go home now, my sick wife is still waiting for me. " he said apologetically with a sorry but not sorry smile before leaving her stranded alone in the way.
She stomped her feet angrily on the ground before also walking away... the villagers who saw her failed interactions with Lin Yu'an for the preys snickered and scorned at her seeing her walk away angrily. They were all greedy for those preys, which brought about their blackened heart and they started to talk bad about Lin Yu'an. " ah! if such a waste could hit preys and so would my son! " a few of them stated going home to have their children go to hit preys for them too. Yu ger was seated on a stool in the yard playing with the twins when he got home, Yu ger raised his head to look at him when he walked into the house none of them made attempts of uttering a word to the other and the twins no longer looked at him with fearful looks but rather smiled and ran to him when they saw him. Yu ger no longer gave him his previously indifference look. Lin Yu'an went on to put the preys into the kitchen leaving the twins squatting around the preys belated before starting to carefully organize the herbs.
He tied the herbs with a thread after organizing and tied them up in their manner of uses. He neatly put the ones to be sold into the basket along with the two thousand years old ginsengs and the hundred year old ginseng he picked. And the rest of the herbs left were placed neatly on a flat wood to dry and use at home. Yu ger had his eyes on him the whole time he worked in silence, after Lin Yu'an was done he pat away the nonexistence dust from his clothes and used his hands to loosen the folded parts caused by squatting for long. After he was done organizing himself he walked to the twins and knelt down on one knee to bring down his height " Ali'an, Aluo... father is going to town to sell some herbs to make money okay. So stay at home and take care of each other, don't get yourselves hurt okay. " they nodded " en " and answered with their still milky teeth.
Lin Yu'an felt warm in heart " good, good, what do you want father to buy for you in the town " Lin Yu'an asked. " Candies! " Aluo's voice sounded as soon as Lin Yu'an asked and Ali'an also nodded agreeing with his brother. Lin Yu'an scoffed. " what about the packet i just have you yesterday's evening? " he asked " we ate them all with little daddy " Aluo answered shyly and Lin Yu'an was met with Yu ger's gaze as he turned. Yu ger quickly diverted his gaze else where in a flash. Lin Yu'an was stunned because he could've sworn that he saw a trace of blush under Yu ger's eyes for a second there, but he shrugged it off. " okay I'll get you a packet of different flavors okay. But you shouldn't it eat too much, you're only allowed to eat three candies a day, or else father will no longer give you candies if you cross the threshold! " Lin Yu'an said in a loud voice as he continued to stare at the twins and Yu ger, the kids quickly nod. Yu ger who had his side facing him blushed embarrassedly and subconsciously wanted to nod but he quickly feign it to a cough when he noticed what he wanted to do.
Lin Yu'an rubbed their heads affectionately before getting back on his feet, he walked over to put the basket on his shoulder and turned to Yu ger. " your health and that of the children isn't really good so you should really start taking care of yourself and them well. From now on you keep the habit of having three meals a day. Use the preys i hit to prepare a meal in the afternoon, i can take care of breakfast and dinner for you and the children but I'm not sure I'll be able to take care of the afternoon meals. So you should hire someone from the village to do that and I'll give you the money to pay the person. You check the house if there's anything to be purchased and make a list for me and I'll buy them. " Lin Yu'an advised. " I'll cook the afternoon meals myself " Yu ger nodded and said but Lin Yu'an was skeptical to have him start working just yet.
Yu ger looked like a walking figurine, looking weak from all sides and he was technically a patient! " are you sure? You're now a patient you shouldn't extend too much force to your already weak body " he advised as a doctor to a patient but Yu ger was firm on his decision and shook his head. " i can do that much... really. I won't force myself too much " Doctor Yu'an reluctantly agreed since the patient had made his decision. " okay, but keep this on you. " Lin Yu'an took out two taels and sent it to Yu ger's way, but he shook his head not wanting to take it. " There's already food stuffs at home, i don't need it and anyway i would just be at home. " he argued. But Lin Yu'an firmly disagreed and put the money in his hand using a little force shocking Yu ger out of his mind. " it doesn't matter whether you spend it or not but keep it on yourself, anything can happen and you don't know when you'll need money to solve it. And also it's for the kids too, so don't even think about returning it! " he made his way out of the house after saying that.
Yu ger felt inexplicable looking at his back getting further and further away from the house, the corners of his lips curved up a little bit into a smile making him stunned. He felt somewhat warm in his heart, he longer cared about whoever that was but as long as that person was still with him he was okay. Infact he started having greedy thoughts of holding that person down to himself, which human on earth didn't like good things?! And he Yang Yu was also a human with greed in his heart!.
