"W_ what do you think a_ about me." She had wanted to ask the question since. Meeting him was nothing like she had expected, there was no heart-warming or heart-wrecking moment. In fact, apart from the fact that he was shocked to find out that she was alive and she had the features of a young lady, he didn't seem to hold any deeper emotions for her. 

Reuel stares at her for a moment, then he stares at Helfer who seemed to be really enjoying his place on her shoulder. To be honest, he had wanted to complain about this since...

It was his pet for years... For twenty-eight long years he cherished his pet lizard only to find out that it wasn't a lizard at all. But that wasn't what was even getting to him. What was more frustrating was the fact that the lizard clearly adored the woman more than him. 

Reuel felt his heart break as he thought about it again.
