Iris couldn't believe her eyes. She blinked a few times, thinking that she was seeing it wrong but, the truth didn't change.
"Y-you... why there's a child with you?"
Iris had forgotten the horror she experienced during the roller coaster ride. Bewildered, she stared at Asher who had a young boy in his arm.
Instead of carrying the child as how most people did, it seemed like Asher just grabbed him by his waist and began to carry the little one with him. The boy resembled a sack of rice hanging from a horizontal pole.
"I found him crying," Asher glanced at the little boy who was staring at him with his big round eyes, "He only stopped when I carried him. Oh, here's the drinks."
Asher handed out the water bottles to Iris.
Refraining from sighing, Iris took the bottles from Asher. She quietly scrutinized this man and the child whose face was a blotchy mess.
