Sleep didn't come easily to Liliana that night even though time was getting late. She kept tossing and turning on the bed, hugging the big plush cat so close to her.

The warmth provided by the giant stuffed toy only eased a small part of her troubled mind.

Until now, Old Madam Shen's pallid complexion kept appearing in Liliana's mind. To her, there was something that the old lady tried hiding, but...

"What is it?"

Liliana threw the question into nothingness.

Her almond-shaped eyes stared out of the windows. The peach-colored thermal curtains were pulled to both sides, revealing the nightscape of the quiet town through the white shimmery curtains.

Unable to stand it anymore, Liliana crawled out of the huge bed. She pushed the duvet aside before switching on the LED lights in the shape of small stars hanging from the wall above her bed.

In an instant, the dimness of the bedroom was chased away by the soft orange lights.
