Leaning forward, he tapped on a printed paper displaying the details of Nolan's background. Some of his current and younger photos were scattered on the coffee table.

"The closest suspect is Mr. Nolan Gao because he's Miss Mu's boyfriend. They do not live together but, they often meet, especially in the evening. From our investigation so far, Mr. Gao has never shown any harmful attitude to others around him."

Slightly frowning, Liliana asked, "Nothing showing Miss Mu is frightened of him, too?"

Domestic violence victims might try to show the world that they had good relationships with their abusive partners. But, some telltale signs should still resurface.

"Yes," Attorney Su nodded, "Of course, these are just superficial findings. We don't know what happens when they are alone or behind closed doors. My subordinates are still looking into this matter."
