The loud wails of the young crown prince occupied the atmosphere of the throne. The empress turned to pick her child, but the emperor was faster than her and stood up with the child while gently patting his back.

Fingers stained with blood and lives, the emperor never thought he would use these same hands to calm his son, one day.

He was careful with the silver chain across his chest as he walked slowly left and right in front of the throne, while the empress sat down back on the arm since there was nothing for her to do.

It seems her son prefers his father more, as she takes longer to calm him down when he is upset, but her husband takes a few minutes.

'I was the one who gave birth to him, but he takes nothing from me. He prefers his father who did nothing but take part in creating him.' The empress looked at the father and son with envious eyes before shifting her gaze to the culprit of destroying her son's nap.
