章節 20: Talent Recruitment

With the second volume of Shinobi Love Master contracted to Shiba publishing firm, Yasui managed to earn a little more funds for his plans. This did not include the royalty, which is going to be paid over the course of his lifetime.

Over the past few weeks, Yasui continued his training. Not only that, but he also began posting recruitment notices all over the village. He also spread the messages to the nearby civilian villages outside of Konoha through civilian mercenaries and merchants.

As said before, he wanted to find a person to help him create the preservative compounds. He didn't have the time and energy to go through the process by himself, and he wanted to use the money to make someone else do it for him.

Before the recruitment date came, there were many people who caught wind of the positions. It pays very well, and the work conditions were very good. There were even benefits such as housing, medical, and holidays.

It's just that Yasui wasn't looking for any ordinary person. He wanted scientists, preferably people who had knowledge of biochemistry. His recruitment notice also stated that he will accept any people who had the desire to achieve something in the field of science: this includes medical, chemical, electronic, etc. He also planned to hire some human resource personnel that would be helpful in the long run.

The reason for his big move is to centralize his power in the science industry. He wanted to create a civilian science research facility within Konoha. Yasui had always felt that technology was neglected during the early period of Naruto because the powers of a shinobi is always stronger than the power of a scientist.

Nonetheless, it clearly has a lot of potential. After all, there were already so many high-tech technologies that exists. Yet, only a select few people like Orochimaru had made use of it.

[A/N: The technology in the Shinobi world is a bit inconsistent. But, it can be concluded that it's advanced, but not widely spread and studied due to the fact that the shinobi world is more focused on developing ninjutsu. Science and technology are often left for civilians to deal with. I'll just fill the plot with whatever I see fit. ]

To prepare for the recruitment days, Yasui got Katsumi to legally open a Konoha civilian science research company. He also bought a laboratory facility that was once owned by a medical ninjutsu research group.

The first recruitment day was hectic, with a long line of applicants waiting to be interviewed for the human resource position. All of them were eager to get the job and willing to do whatever it took to prove themselves.

Since Yasui's company had no workers other than himself and Katsumi, Yasui transformed into Son Goku and led the interview process. He also made use of his three shadow clones, each transformed into their own adult persona.

After spending the whole day filtering through the applicants, Yasui finally narrowed the top choices down to two women: Aino and Sara.

Their age is 44 and 32 respectively. Aino was an accountant for the medical ninjutsu research facility before it shut down, and she had experience with handling the company's finances. Sara, on the other hand, did not have a significant background. However, Yasui asked questions to assess the applicant's problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and ability to work as part of a team. He found that she scored top marks on all of his tests.

When both of them heard that they were accepted for the position, they were ecstatic. Although this company they're working in only started, it seems to have a clear mission: researching technology for civilians.

As civilians themselves, they were happy to work for such a company. Moreover, they will have a lot of chances to become prominent figures in the company once it grew.

The next day, Yasui held the second recruitment. This day had way fewer people compared to the first one because it was for the scientists that will work on civilian research projects.

The first person that really stood out to Yasui was a blad man named Kosuke. He had a pair of sunglasses on, and a completely white scientist suit. He looked like a mad scientist coming out of a cartoon movie. But that wasn't why this person caught his eye.

If remembered correctly, Kosuke had been the one who worked on the Scientific Ninja Tool in the future. This technology was a tool that could be used to store ninjutsu, and it could even allow other users to use the ninjutsu stored in it.

Yasui readily kept this person in mind and went on to the next applicants one after another. The second applicant was a middle-aged man named Yosuke that complimented Kosuke. He is an engineer that used to work for a technology company in the Land of Iron. Their company had shut down due to not having enough money to continue running. Yosuke said he came to this place after seeing a recruitment notice from outside of Konoha.

Yasui became desperate when the applicants started thinning down. There had yet to even be one person who was capable of understanding the mixology of organic compounds.

Just as the sun set behind the horizon, though, Yasui finally found the person he was looking for.

Tamaki–a biochemist.

Yasui went full throttle when he asked questions to Tamaki. He first asked the guy about his field of study, his previous experiences in the field, and what challenges they encountered. Furthermore, he asked questions about current trends in the field, research methods and techniques, and any recent breakthroughs or discoveries that they have been involved in.

During the whole interview, Tamaki flawlessly answered all the questions like Sara, the HR girl. Yasui even went as far as to show Tamaki some of the preservative compound compositions, and Tamaki came up with a good approach to deal with the production.

In conclusion, Yasui was satisfied with Tamaki being the lead biochemist of his civilian technology research facility.

Shortly after briefing all of his new employees on their goals and ideals, he gave them the task of creating preservative compounds. All of the funding would be provided for and taken care of by both Aino and Katsumi. Sara would occasionally help and be the main contact between the scientist and HR.

Tamaki is tasked with creating the preservative compound. Last but not least, Yosuke and Kosuke are tasked with working alongside Tamaki to automate the preservative compound-making method.

With everything taken care of and running by themselves, Yasui finally had time to get back to training. Though, he is doing so without any money in his pocket. He's broke… once again… only having enough money to not eat dirt and grass.
