Heather’s POV

“What’s wrong Heather? I thought this is what you wanted. What we both wanted?” Casey asks, still breathless from their kissing.

Casey is right. She does want this. There is nothing she wants more than to be wrapped up in Casey’s arms and to lose herself to the passion burning between them. This is not the place for it to happen.

“Casey, at the end of this hallway there is a ballroom full of people, including your entire family. I don’t think this is the right place for us to go any further,” Heather says, helping to bring them both back to reality.

Casey chuckles and rubs his hand on the back of his neck. “I suppose you’re right. Why don’t we find someplace private to continue this? We can also talk more about the plan you have to take down my father,” Casey offers with heat in his eyes.
