I got into the bathroom for a quick shower. I had to clean up from the sweat streaking out of my body due to the dance from few minutes back. Stepping into the bathroom, I sank deep into the bathtub filled with warm water to it's brim, which had some water pouring out as my weight sank in.
The thought of the wedding fast approaching made me really nervous. I wondered if this was how nervous others felt or was it just me? Drifting deep into my thoughts, I wondered why I still haven't seen my mum and Aunt Amelia. Today's the wedding they're meant to be here with me.
I was supposed to recieve their blessings today. Did Ales lie to me just so we could get married again? Was this another trick of his to lure me deeper into his stupid plans? If I find out I was lied to, I'd never forgive Alex.
He promised me, he shouldn't make promises when he could not keep them, I'm fufiling my part of the deal now it's left for him to fufil his. I stepped out of the bathtub, picked a towel from the folded ones to dry my wet body.
I wore a white robe when I was done and stepped into the closet where Darla and her crew waited for me, along side the makeup artist and hair stylist. I turned on my phone after turning it off since the previous night cause of my bridal shower.
Quickly I checked the time which was already 3:30pm, to me it was too early to start preparing for a wedding that was going to be held by 9pm, but to the crew we were already late. They gave room to my personal maid Elena and her workers who stepped in to massage my body with the body oil.
After what seemed like 45mins they were done and I went ahead to wear my seamless underwear thong without a bra. I wore the robe to cover my cleavage and sat before the dressing mirror. It was here, it was finally here, the day I've been expecting and dreaming about. To be honest, I never dreamt of an inordinate wedding before. I took in deep breaths and exhaled to calm my nerves.
The hair stylist got into the closet and started with my hair. He blow-dried, straightened and curled my hair, before he started twisting and pinning with the diamond pins on the table. Taking his time, he worked with my hair strands in turns, twisting them into beautiful curls.
I lost track of time as he did his work on my hair. He walked out of the room when he was done giving room to the next person to come in. And then came my make up artist who started her work. "Congratulations on your wedding Mrs Becca!"
Calling me by my not so popular name, I could already guess she knew who I was. "No one would believe you'd be getting married to a big shot!" She continued. I stared at her reflection from the mirror gauging where I've seen this face before, but I still could not remember.
"You might not recognize me anymore, I'm Alice the girl who came with her elder sister to get a pink prom dress from your boutique!" I stared at her in disbelief. When did she grow and evolve into a beautiful woman, and how did she end up here.
The last I checked, Alice was from an average family of four, her elder sister was as beautiful as she was. "Wow it's nice to meet you little Alice!" She smiled applying primer to my face. "I got back to the shop to get new clothes, but I learnt you were no longer there or anywhere in Los Angeles!"
She started with my brows. "Hmm, I got married then!" "But you never said you were getting married?"
"Everything happened so fast and now I'm married!" I smiled and she returned it. "Tell me your love story, how did you guys meet, how did you meet such a hot rich guy?" She asked. What was I likely to say? that my marraige is a contract one and it's going to be over soon?
"At a Gala, I was invited to a Gala and that was how we met. And after that our love story began!" I said briefly which was totally the truth, to hear a uhhh... From her which made me roll my eyes. Our make up section took two hours or more, cause I sat for a really long time. And I turned out more beautiful than I already was. She really did know her job.
Alice parked her bags and Left when she was done, it wasn't up to 30 seconds, and Darla walked in with her crew. Like I said before, they were more than the previous people she brought for the engagement party. Evan and Jenet brought in my wedding dress, and Darla took it from them carefully, hanging it on the wall.
I stood before the dressing mirror and the fixing began, "Mother really helped in bringing down your weight as promised!" She smiled. "You asked her to watch me?" "Hmm, I knew you'd gain more weight by the end of these week and the measurements used in stitching the gown was your engagement gown's measurements.
I took off my robe still standing before the floor to ceiling mirror. "You did a wonderful job!" I complimented admiring my features. "Hmm, the gown would be a little bit heavy cause of the diamonds on it!" She warned and I nodded.
I wondered if it would be as heavy as the dress I used in practicing how to walk back in Dubai. With the help of her workers, Darla brought the gown to veiw and I was agape. Each section was stitched with outmost care.
The gown was pure white in colour, having set of diamond embroidery at the skirt, and the hem. And then daimond stones were scattered on the body of the gown.
It was beautiful and shiny. They helped me fix the gown on my body, wearing the gown was not a problem, but I felt like dieing when they tied the corsets. I couldn't breathe perfectly as she tied it so tight. "I feel like fainting, the corset is too tight!" I complained and she quickly changed it.
I could feel all my strength leaving my body cause of how heavy the gown felt coupled with the nervousness I felt or was it fear? Fear of what people might think or say when they see me?
Fear of being walked with by my father to the alter, not after his deadly request. How do I face him now? Thinking of all these the uneasiness in my tommy only increased and I suddenly felt sick.
"Mrs Wilson, don't you like the dress?" I could hear the worry in Darla's tone. "Call me Hazel Darla, and I love the dress so much, I'm just feeling a little wierd which I know it'll go away in no time!"
"I know what you feel, it's the nervousness every bride feels on her wedding day. Don't worry everything will go away once you walk down the isle and see your husband's comforting face!" I don't know if her words were meant to calm my nerves or increase it, cause right now my nerves just doubled and I suddenly felt hot.
"Your car is waiting for you Madam!" Leo walked in and announced gaining our attention. Darla placed the Vail on my head and handed my purse over to me, while she held my flower. I wondered where Carie was or if she's done with dressing, cause she's meant to be my chief bride's maid.
At the helipad of the yatch came a helicopter containing the groom and his best friends. Alex, Benson and Lukas got out of the helicopter when it landed. They had first gone back home to dress up before using the Helicopter to arrive at the venue.
Alex darted his gaze around, studying his environment before moving further. "Has my wife arrived yet?" He asked one of the bodyguards standing on guard there. "No boss, she's yet to arrive!" The man bowed and he walked in.
The guest have started to arrive little by little with boats or mini yatch to the event. It was a night wedding on the water, just the way Mr Oliver wanted it to be. Alex walked further greeting the people he was aquainted with and his business associate, who were patiently anticipating the bride.
These people never got the opportunity to attend the Engagement Party to see her. Even the ones who attended, not all of them had the opportunity to talk to her.
It was sealed that sage would be the replacement of my chief bride's maid, since Carie was pregnant and her baby bump was beginning to suffice, she just didn't want attention to herself so people wouldn't notice her pregnancy.
I stepped out of the mansion with Sage behind me, through some unexpected life circumstances, she was finally my cheif bride's maid, just as we planned when were younger. She smiled at me and I smiled back.
Holding my gown so I could walk freely, I got into the car and sage got in too, holding my flowers and my purse.
