My call with Alex took long, we talked longer than I expected, or maybe he just wanted to talk for long. I couldn't sleep at night knowing I had an engagement party the next day, I wasn't even sure Alex was going to attend, cause he hates parties.
If he doesn't attend, then I'd be the center of attention. I have been to one of the Wilson's party, the gala should at least give me a hint of what their party or mini ball always looks like. These people are damn rich, they live the highest Luxurious life ever. Where's Cerie when I need her? She's been heartbroken when she heard Lukas was in London.
Lukas on the other hand had to get back, just to appease his furious girlfriend. Carie was not joking when she said she owned him.
I left Alex's bedroom to the grand floor, Alex was really serious when he said he was not going to invite sage for my party. I just can't believe my best friend is not here for my party. "Madam you're still awake!" Gaius asked. "Hmm.. Gaius, get me a glass of juice!" I said and the old man bowed before leaving.
I sat on the couch in the lounge, I couldn't tell Carie about Lukas earlier not after all the threats Alex made. It's a good thing she doesn't know I was aware of their games. "Here it is ma'am!" Gaius words broke me off my daze.
He dropped a tray on the table, containing a glass and a bottle of champagne. "What are we celebrating Gaius?" I asked. "Your engagement party is tomorrow madam, that's enough reason to celebrate!" He said, bowing his head before leaving.
I poured the wine into a glass and took a sip, thinking of where life has brought me to is really remarkable. I would never have believed I'd be here as a contracted wife to a well known billoniare for a year. I wondered what my life would be like after all this. Maybe I'll be able to live the life I've always dreamt of, but will I be happy away from Alex? I sighed, even I don't know the answer to that.
I sank into the couch taking another sip of the wine, I felt wierd inside, my head seems heavy and I was dizzy. What was wrong, it's just a sip? I thought. I drank the full glass in no time cause of how sweet it tasted. Sooner my eyes were heavy and I slept on the couch.
I really didn't know what Gaius did to that wine, two sips of it wouldn't make me so dizzy.
**********THE NEXT DAY*********
My eyes slid open the next morning, I was welcomed by throbbing head. "Ahh...!" I cried holding the back of my head, massaging it with my palm. I darted my gaze around and noticed this was not Alex's room, I panicked. Where the hell was I? I got off the bed and stepped out of the room quickly, surprisingly the door was not locked.
I got to the hallway which was similar to Alex's house hallway, the painting on the walls were alike and the golden and diamond statues were still kept. I was still at home, ah what was I thinking. How would someone kidnap me in this house. I laughed at my foolishness again.
I walked back into Alex's room wondering whoist have kept me in that room. Since I got to this house, I've really not gotten used to every part of this mansion. Gaius walked into the room immediately, to change the sheets and open the curtains as usual.
"Good morning madam!" He greeted. "Gaius, who helped me into that room last night?" I asked. "You did so madam after a glass of the wine!" He explained. "Just what did you put in that wine?" "Oh it's master Alex's favorite wine, so I thought I'd be your favorite too!" He explained.
I couldn't deal with that anymore, I had to shower.
