After the whole shenanigan, the team decided to pick up the pace. The went straight to the stairs that lead to the third floor. Noah took the lead to be safe. As expected there were more explosive traps on the stairway.

Getting to the third floor, the team checked their surroundings, there was nothing at all.

[This is very suspicious Draco. There are no traps other than the one on the stairway] - Noah

[I feel the same, I would expect monsters, or other traps in a dungeon] - Draco

Noah wasn't the only one to feel suspicious, all of the other members felt the same way. But regardless of their worry, they moved forward.

The team went on to the fourth floor. The same as the last floors. There was nothing in the floor at all, they then moved on to the stairs and made their way to the fifth floor.

They had to tank an explosion trap half way through the stairway, before they reached the fifth floor.

It was when they reached the fifth floor that Kirsch had woken up. As they moved forward towards the next floor Noah finally noticed something, or rather someone.

[Noah]

[I know, I can sense him too]

Noah turned to his teammates and whispered "Be careful. Someone is hiding up a head and there is a trap as well"

Selena didn't look too worried by that, she looked more mad than anything else. Mimosa had a nervous look on her face. Digit looked like he was about to piss his pants, lastly the mighty leader who seemed to be disheartened about his hair being all messed up.

Noah ignored Kirsch and kept moving forward, he wanted to catch the man hiding. Noah was going to take this easy but he was pissed off at this whole situation.

In an instant, Noah's body turned into black gas. The black gas swirled and in an instant, he vanished.

The team was surprised by Noah's vanish, but before they can say anything,

"AAARRRGH!!"

The team was surprised to hear a man's scream. They exchanged a quick look with Kirsch, who then started running towards the area where the scream came from.

Once they arrived to the place where the scream came from, they saw Noah standing on a burly man with bronze colored hair. Noah had the man pinned to the ground.

"Who is this?" - Kirsch

"If you had been paying attention, you would've heard Noah say that there was someone hiding" - Mimosa glared at Kirsch

"It's hardly my fault for being busy with my beautiful hair" - Kirsch

"You're hopeless" - Mimosa sighed

"So what now? Should we beat him up a bit to blow off some steam?" - Selena said with an evil smirk on her face

"Wait, would it cause conflict with the heart kingdom if we were to beat him? I mean he is one of their mages right, so I bet this might make them pissed at us and they might hurt us" - Digit asked nervously

"It will be alright, just a quick beat up, no one will care" - Selena walked forward while cracking her knuckles

"I will let her beat you for real, unless you answer some of my questions" - Noah looked at the man below him.

"No need, I will make him talk regardless" - Selena said as her grimoire opened up and a fist made of water slammed right into the bronze haired man

Noah had to jump away at the last second to dodge her attack

[This woman is a psycho!] - Draco

Noah didn't have anything to say in response, so he just stepped aside and watched as Selena pummeled the guy. Poor guy kept screaming as she smashed multiple spells into him. Granted the spells weren't lethal, she was just taking her anger out on the guy.

"I think you're ready to talk now" - Selena said as they guy had stopped screaming.

"He's knocked out Selena." - Mimosa said as she walked closer to the man.

"Please heal him Mimosa" - Noah said with a sigh as he rubbed his eyes.

Mimosa nodded and cast a healing spell on the guy, but the guy didn't wake up right away. The group had to wait for five minutes before the guy regained consciousness.

"Are you gonna talk now!" - Selena shouted at the guy

"Wait! You didn't give me a chance to talk. Please! I'll tell you what you want to know" - The bronze haired guy

"What's your name?" - Noah suddenly asked

"My name is Elham" - The bronze haired guy said

[Lie] - Draco said

"Why were you hiding here?" - Noah

"I had gotten separated from my group so I got scared and hid" - Elham

[Lie] - Draco said once more

"Which kingdom are you from?" - Noah

"The heart kingdom" - Elham

[Also lies] - Draco chimed in once more

"Alright Elham, you see I think you're lying. So how about this" - Noah said as purple-black mist covered his right hand. Noah reached his hand and placed it on Elham's face.

Within a moment Elham started screaming in horror. He kept screaming for 10 seconds before he started shaking violently and started to foam in the mouth.

Everyone was surprised by Noah's actions.

"Noah, please stop" - Mimosa couldn't handle the scene

Noah removed his hand and looked at the rest of the team.

"He's not from the Heart kingdom, meaning he's either from the Diamond kingdom, the Spade kingdom, or he's a traitor from the Clover kingdom" - Noah

"How do you know" - Selena

"I can tell when someone lies" - Noah gave a short lie and turned around to face the guy again.

{Impura Salus} Noah cast a healing spell to get the guy back to consciousness

"If you lie once more, I will kill you" - Noah released some of his killing intent.

Elham started shaking uncontrollably. After a moment, Noah stopped releasing his killing intent.

"Let's start again. What is your name?" - Noah

"My name is Spinel" - Elham, or rather Spinel said

[He is not lying] - Draco

"Why were you hiding?" - Noah

"I was meant to ambush you and try to injure you, if possible kill one of you" - Spinel

[That's the truth as well] - Draco

"Which kingdom are you from?" - Noah

"I'm a mage from the Diamond kingdom" - Spinel

[Truth this time too] - Draco

"Are there any others here with you? How many are there?" - Noah

"Yes, there were meant to be other teams, I don't know how many there are" - Spinel

[Surprisingly he is not lying] - Draco

"What do you mean? How come you don't know" - Noah

"There was one other squad that was dispatched. They were dispatched before my team, I know that my team was composed of five, but I don't know how many members were in the other team, only the captain knows" - Spinel

[That is the truth] - Draco

"Are the Diamond teams working with the Heart kingdom?" - Noah

"I don't know. We were only given the time to enter the dungeon and the mission itself, no other details" - Spinel

Noah turned around and looked at Selena, "Take him and return to the surface. Be careful, if the guy that was at the entrance was still there, attack him right away. Once you make sure that the surface is clear, use the communication device and call for a spatial mage. Make sure that he is handed over for interrogation"

Selena nodded, she cast a water whip spell. She wrapped the water whip around Spinel and started walking away while he was getting dragged behind her.

'There is no way the Heart kingdom will try to kill us. In the original work, they were very nice, they even helped Noelle and some other mages to train...NO! This is the real world, there is no guarantee that they are as nice as the original show'

After some thinking, Noah turned to the rest of the team, "Let's be on guard from this point onwards. There is no telling how many other mages are going to be hiding. Also we are to proceed assuming that the Heart kingdom is cooperating with the Diamond kingdom, unless proven otherwise" - Noah said as the others nodded their heads.

'Wait, I'm supposed to be the team leader here!' - Kirsch

Just as Kirsch was about to voice his complaint, but suddenly Noah raised his hand. Everyone stopped and looked at Noah for instructions.

"Make sure to hide your aura, we don't want to be detected while we move"

Kirsch decided to give up on complaining and just follow Noah's lead.

The whole team got more serious as they moved forward.
