章節 44: Spied
It was the day I was about to leave and intercept the spies, I had positioned myself at the border as I was given the clothes from the spies Tsunade weeded out.
The meeting place was a small rundown hut, when the door opened I made sure that didn't want to startle him but I just wanted to get this over with.
I scanned him and he had an Iwa headband, but I also had to make sure
"Glory to Earth's Shadow."
I said the phrase, It was a weird phrase it basically meant glory to the old man in Iwa.
"Glory to Earth's Shadow"
He then sat in front of me, I gave him a scroll, I had sensed there were five of them and he was alone, I was happy since I had clones at the ready.
When he was about to retrieve the scroll from me, I didn't budge as he tried pulling it away from me.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Yeah."
'Tsukuyomi.'
He suddenly was unconscious after one second then I heard screams from outside as my clones emerged and knocked the four outside
'Ningendo.'
I absorbed his soul, no one knew this technique, when I did, it looks like he wasn't a high ranking spy, but he's not low ranking either, basically he's just a mid ninja and all his teammates are too, they just collect and return.
I absorbed three more souls and they all had more or less the same information, I let one stay alive as to give him to Inoichi but I doubt they'll get anything useful.
Basically Iwa is a fence sitter looking for any opportunity it can get to try and invade, Minato's elimination of their entire elite force was still in effect as they're still training them hence they couldn't even invade other than hoping for a mutual destruction of two nations.
"And here I was hoping for a big battle or some big shot to come and claim the information, Kumo spies are all that's left but Inoichi-san killed them already."
I sighed and returned back to Konoha with the guy on a clone, I arrived at the Konoha Intelligence Division building.
"You're here."
"It was quick work."
"Certainly and not even an hour had passed."
"I like to enjoy my time."
"I'm impressed by your strength, perhaps, would you like to join us?"
"I'll pass."
Ibiki was startled but didn't question me I then handed him the guy as a few Jonins came to get the man who I was carrying.
They really wouldn't get anything valuable out from him as there really was no merit, the only information that was valuable was that their Jinchuriki, seldom accompanied missions and that was only if his presence was needed.
And the times his presence was needed was few such as a problem they couldn't solve or by baiting them out which I need more information on.
"Training, Reading, Organizing, its been this way for two weeks, well it is peaceful."
I went to the Hokage office as usual since I had nothing else to do, I guess, perhaps to protect me from my boredom I began reading and studying about the laws of the village, its not like its gonna harm me.
As I arrived Team 10 was there, mainly, Asuma, Ino, Choji and Shikamaru, they all looked at me until Tsunade said something
"You're here? That was fast."
"It was easy I guess."
"Good, are you tired?"
"No?"
Tsunade nodded, Asuma smiled and so did Ino, well I really wouldn't mind joining them for a mission, Shikamaru had a relaxed expression while Choji was already up and running minus a few more bandages than normal was happily eating chips.
"Because you're not going with them."
"Wait wha-"
Ino reacted first as if her entire world had crumbled down, Asuma flinched while Shikamaru tensed up.
"I'm sorry but you guys go first, Yuki stay here."
I nodded as Team 10 left, I patted Ino's head before she left which fired her up again, when we were finally alone.
"I've had numerous reports one that is concerning me, I want you to to Tsuchigumo Clan and find the group that has said to been lurking around their borders".
"What?"
"The Tsuchigumo Clan, they're no longer a clan you might say as they have split, right now they have two factions one that lives on their village and one that lives on Mount Katsuragi, the one that has asked for helped is the one that lives on Mount Katsuragi."
"I understand, so eliminate?"
"If you've confirmed that they have ill intentions towards the residents that live on Mount Katsuragi, we have a pact with them to help them in exchange for a Kinjutsu."
I nodded, I know where mount Katsuragi is but I vaguely remember why was is it important.
"My guess its just bandits, but if it is just eliminate them quickly, you don't need to report to their leader or elders just go and do some surveying and ascertain if its true or not."
A clone then appeared beside me.
"You're sending a clone?"
"I'll send a clone to survey the surroundings, and if its just bandits then the clone can handle it."
"I guess that is an efficient way to handle things but aren't you afraid of being exhausted?"
"I can hold on my own, provided that I won't do anything else."
"Alright, you can stay here and help me organize everything while your clone handles the mission, I can already see you marking the area if you find anything."
I nodded, the clone then left and did its job, I was wondering and thinking of what was in that place but decided to not to as I would discover it myself sooner or later.
"Tsunade-sama."
"Quit being formal if you're gonna ask me an informal question you brat, I know it when your tone changes."
"How do you do the thing on your head?"
I was referring to the Strength of a Hundred Seal, its a nifty trick after all but I don't like the part where it shortens your lifespan, but that only applies to normal people, and I'm not normal.
"It requires extremely delicate chakra control and huge chakra reserves, something you have but I have questions about your chakra reserves."
"What about it?"
"It feels different yet somewhat familiar, though it can be attributed to your clan or genetic factors as its not the only unique chakra I've seen in my lifetime but still you have such high chakra reserves that I believe if you want to have this I can teach you."
"Will you?"
"Only if you want."
I had to think, its not like its weak but, I already have almost an endless amount of chakra, so I guess I don't need it the more I think about it.
"I'll give it some time, but if I want to I guess I'll just tell you, but about my chakra."
"You're curious?"
"Yeah, I never noticed it I guess until you said it?"
"All I know is each person including clans has their own chakra right?"
"Correct."
"Then how can you say that mine is somewhat different and yet familiar"
"The truth is Yuki, do you want to know why I'm letting you stay here?"
"Sure."
I was curious as I sat down and she sat down in front of me behind her desk, looks like this is a serious discussion and I'm somewhat worried somehow.
"You know I'm the last Senju right? While the Senju was hunted down that didn't mean that the Senju had died entirely nor I am the last."
"What does that even mean?"
"It just means I'm the last full blooded Senju, who knows how many of my clan members have married into after all my clan didn't care that much about being pureblooded unlike the Hyuga and Uchiha."
"Then?"
"What I'm trying to say is that you may or may not be a Senju, that's why I somehow felt a sense of familiarity with you when I first met you this had to be discussed one day since I myself is interested in your origin."
"I'm an orphan."
"That I fully know and it coincides with the days the any member from the Senju clan had been hunted be it from the main clan or the ones that married into different ones."
"I have white hair."
"You can say thanks to your genetics for that, either way you being part Senju is possible that's why I wanted to monitor you over the months as I silently probed your chakra."
"Well that's rude."
"I had to make sure, don't worry I won't do anything, but it feels somewhat relieving that you may or may not be part Senju for me atleast I know someone else other than me that's still living in Konoha."
And here I thought it was something else, well probably its the best she has this misunderstanding in the first place that I'm a Senju, and it's a nice cover probably convenient even.
"Do you want to do a blood test?"
"A blood test you say, sure, at least we know if you're a Senju or not."
I nodded, well if she has silently probed about my chakra I wonder who else has, with this now its a good excuse.
I smiled as I followed after her, after all the Senju were descendants of Asura Otsutsuki.
