章節 15: Chapter 15_ Sudden Disappearance
CHAPTER TWELVE
Skylar was in the classroom early. He seems worried waiting for Keisha arrival for more than two hour now. Skylar had gone to Keisha house earlier today but she was yet to be home. Her phone wasn't going through and she was yet to be seems in school. He glances at the door on any arrival of any student who walked in. Liam keeps looking at Skylar whom curiosity was displayable.
Alice was sitting alone, she seem bother about something. Eleanor wasn't in class and Eve has gone missing since Friday dusk.
Mrs. Maya walked into the class room. "Good morning students." She greeted standing facing the student and they respond to her greetings. She looks to Alice direction and notice her unstable calm mood. "Alice, have to be able to reach on Eve?"
"No ma." Alice reply. She wondered why Mrs. Maya asked her.
"And Eleanor?"
"No ma'am."
She turned to the class. "Student, Our classmate Eve is missing."
"What? Missing?" Some of the student who weren't aware said astonished.
"Her mom came to report her missing this morning. She said she have been missing since Friday duck. So please help her mom and the cops in search of her in any ways you can."
"Yes Mrs. Maya." The class muttered and came murmuring between them.
"Okay student, enough of the noise. She went to the board and started teaching."
Skylar was not concentrating in class so as Alice. Skylar was still shocked with the news Mrs. Maya just pass on. He glances at Alice and notice Eleanor wasn't in class too. He remembered seeing Eleanor dress in disguised attacking Keisha the other day. "Could Eve missing have something to do with Eleanor too?" He thought. "Keisha, could she be missing too? Could she be in danger?" He thought again and immediately, he picked up his bag and run out of the class.
"Skylar!" Mrs. Maya called. She sighs and then returned back to her lecturing.
Alice who have also been in thought, thinking of how suddenly Eve has gone missing after leaving with the strange guy at the bar the other day and since that she hasn't been able to contact her neither Eleanor and yet both aren't in class today. Curious thoughts keep running through her head and immediately Skylar left the class, she too picked up her bag and run after Skylar.
"Alice!" Mrs. Maya called again. "Lecture end here." She said angrily and left the class.
Liam question in his heart why they both run away like that in the middle of lecture.
"Skylar!" Alice called outside the classrooms but it was too late as Skylar was already in his car, he zoom off immediately.
Skylar arrived Keisha house, he parked his car and get down. He called her name severally as he knock on the door.
"Coming" I said from inside. I opened the door and closed it back immediately I saw Skylar. "What in my mother name is he doing here?"
Skylar called my name again and I had to open the door. I opened the door and stand at the entrance.
"Sky, what're you doing here?"
"Can I at least come inside?"
"No, you can't."
"What's wrong? Are you good?"
"Yes I'm good, what're you doing here sky?"
"You don't actually look good Keisha. You look nervous, very nervous, what's wrong?"
"I'm good sky!" I yelled
"You're absolutely not. I can tell, you just yell at me for absolute no reason or did I do something wrong?"
"Skylar please leave."
"Then at least tell me the reason. Keisha you are acting weird, from that attack that night, you drugging me and running away. Yes, I know you drugged me. And you refuse to pick my call also. What have I done wrong?" He asked and sighs. "Eve is missing." He glanced at my face and notice I wasn't even a bit surprise when he broke Eve news to me. "You don't look surprise. Do you know about that already?"
"No…."
"Hold on a second, is there something you are not telling me? Is Eve disappearance related to Eleanor and…" He hesitated "And you?"
"I'm asking again, why are you here?"
"I was worried when I couldn't reach on you Keisha. After hearing about Eve sudden disappearance, I became even more worried and… I miss you."
"What?"
"You hear it right. I miss you, a lot. Every single minute you aren't by my side, I just couldn't help it but think about you and…"
"Enough! Enough sky! Please leave, and don't ever show up around here, around me. Erase me from your memory and see me as a stranger from this day on." I found myself saying and shut the door behind him.
"Keisha! Have I done something wrong? What wrong with her?" He questioned himself. "Keisha open up please" He keep knocking and calling on me but I didn't response. He had no other choice but leave.
I sat on the door floor feeling sad. "He has to keep his distance from me, that the only way I can protect him." Then my memory flashes back to the dinner night.
