The once more simple and humbler building in the center of Axia had grown to grotesque proportions, though still barely matching its owners own ego, after gaining the ability to plant dungeons and battle towers as he pleased, Axiolypito had gone to expand on his abode.
The place had bloated, growing way beyond its origins, more empty homes and buildings had been demolished to allow this, no one could complain about this however, the city was free of anyone with their own will except for its master.
The city was only home to Axio's countless offsprings, at least those that had no use for him, his spawned monsters and needled monsters.
As for the troops the other ministers had brought? They were stationed outside of the city's walls, for the simple reason that the Wretch Lord was terrifying and none wanted to end up as puppets, he was too hard-headed to be reasoned with, only the Obsidian Queen could actually force him to behave but she wasn't interested in doing so.
The tyrant could be seen strolling around sometimes, dressed as per usual, the same outfit he had worn ever since he had fashiond his own clothing under a village all those years ago, he must have had multiple of this for certain.
Only difference was that he had decided to add a crown on top of his head, the accessory carved out of some dark wood, the crystal he kept with him at all time embedded as decoration on it.
The people on the outside had no idea of all of this, protected by the domain, they could only assume that it was under the jurisdiction of Faceless Lord, the monster that had batted away their king like he was a mere fly.
The entire country had been overtaken by monsters now, the various lords and ladies may have been left in power but everyone knew that they had monsters watching them in the shadows, it simply was more convenient to leave the one in powers unchanged, controlling them rather than take over things in a more direct manner.
The news that Roderst had been conquered was enough for many rulers to snap out of the bubble The Scourge had created around them but it didn't matter much, the countries targeted by the formless minister had no way to push back the invasion.
Lordlorn now had a new nation, an empire.
An empire of monsters.
The armies of the Obsidian Queen first annexed the lands surrounding Roderst and then pushed toward the south-west, connection the empire to the ocean.
Maritime trade was fairly prominent for those with access to it, although, this only included trade on the continent or Lordlorn, for crossing the ocean to another continent was a risky affair, not for a nation whose queen had full authority over all sorts of monsters however.
The nightmarish abominations of the depth were no exceptions and this severely increased the dangerosity of the monsters, so before anyone could truly start moving large troops.
The more powerful countries officials were geared up with various things, such as items protecting them from influences targeting their minds, they wouldn't be so easily pacified by The Scourge.
Roderst had the silver knights, elite warrior but they had elites mages, clerics and all kinds of other things that could be classified as elite.
Undying Prophet led troops of primitive monsters to fight alongside him, tearing through defenses through pure grit and mindless violence, no matter of many time he was burned to ashes and crushed into fine paste.
As he would always be accompanied by other hordes of monsters, the forces couldn't focus fire on him to keep him down, lest they be overrun.
Those of great military might could hold their own fairly well, focusing on defense against the incredible, natural attributes of the monsters.
Fewer and fewer countries were overrun until a stalemate was finally reached, when the monsters came clashing against the borders of the United Lands Of Amor or simply Amor.
The lands of Amor spanned over a great distance, and as their names suggested, multiple nations had come together to form it, it was the superpower of Lordlorn, composed of various intelligent species, that weren't considered monsters unlike the vampires.
Some of them sporting little differences from monsters at a first glance but only great scholars with the guts to look into the very complicated concept of species would be able to explain such things accurately.
All that mattered here was that Amor had high numbers, might and intelligence on their sides, they had erected great defenses against the troops of the monster queen, not letting them gain even a centimeter of ground.
Keeping their distances, hidden behind walls protecting them against aerial, underground, sea and land attacks, be it physical, magical or anything else, Amor didn't have any great weaknesses that could lead to a swift defeat.
The Obsidian Queen wasn't impressed however and rather than trying to force their ways like mindless monsters would, she simply ordered to have a certain amount of pressure be maintained at all times while she begin using the ample lands she conquered to grow even more troops than before.
She didn't fear intervention of other continents, she knew that at least multiple nations had already tried or succeeded in contacting the other continents, all of them at least as equally powerful as Lordlorn.
This world wasn't small in any capacity, countless continents, some much larger than Lordlorn populated it, some certainly still undiscovered, some overrun by the undeads, others by monster species of great sapience, or of lesser sentience, some empty of anything or deprived of mana, filled with only animals.
None would appear in this war however, the distances to cross were great, only if they were capable of grand teleportation distances would they be able to intervene.
Otherwise, they would have to cross the dangerous oceans, now filled with monsters that had only allegiance to the queen, it wouldn't be up to luck and skill to cross.
A single ship would have trouble making it halfway, not even talking of a whole fleet.
There may be some surprises, perhaps unwelcome but the queen didn't fear that her domination of Lordlorn would fail, whatever may happen.
