Casey hung another segment of the light strand. She hummed to herself as she worked, kneeling on the mattress in her room. She had almost the entire day off.
Not explicitly, but Lavinia had kept subtly helping Casey so she ended up with more and more days like today. Casey pretended not to notice and Lavinia seemed content with that.
And so, Casey had been working on decorating her room a little more. She had even started cleaning the other rooms on her floor and had a little notebook of ideas of what to do with them. She had even devised a numbering system since none of the rooms had functions yet.
Room number three would make a good office. She could probably set some stationary and a nice desk in there.
She could even do school work when she eventually got around to going back to college.
