In the afternoon, with nothing to do, Su Hongxing was nestled in bed taking a nap when Xiaole knocked and entered, handing her a parcel, "This package was delivered for you, Madam."
As Su Hongxing took the package, intending to open it and take a look, she noticed Xiaole lingering at the door.
"Is there anything else?" Su Hongxing fixed her gaze on Xiaole's eyes.
Xiaole, curious about what was in the box, seeing Su Hongxing's questioning look, could no longer linger and reluctantly left the room, closing the door behind him.
ON opening the package, Su Hongxing discovered a USB stick.
She plugged the USB stick into her laptop and opened a video file.
The video was rather scandalous with Ye Qilan as the male lead and a woman dancing.
However, her attention was focused on his eyes. Despite the flirtatious setting, his gaze remained cold.
The video only lasted for a few minutes, ending abruptly as the woman danced closer to Ye Qilan...
The sudden cut-off left one desperate to know how the scene unfolded.
It was clear that the person who recorded and sent the video had a keen understanding of human psychology, curious to know what would happen next.
As for the person who sent the video, they clearly knew about her marriage to Ye Qilan. Perhaps they wanted her to realize the role she played in the marriage, or maybe they were trying to drive a wedge between them. Of course, the presumption was that there were some feelings between her and Ye Qilan in the first place.
At six in the evening, Su Hongxing prepared dinner herself.
There was no sign of Xiaole. The ringing phone broke the silence in the empty hall, sounding rather intrusive.
As Xiaole didn't show up, Su Hongxing answer the phone.
"Qilan, didn't we agree you'd pick me up at six? It's already a quarter past. Why haven't you come?" A woman's soft, coquettish voice came over the phone.
Su Hongxing calmly replied: "Who are you? He's not home, and if it's so urgent for you to reach him, you should be calling his mobile."
What a great start to her married life - first a video, now a woman calling and causing trouble.
"I'm sorry, I thought Qilan was at Shallow Bay Villa. My apologies. I'm Mo Qiu, Qilan's girlfriend; who are you?" retorted Mo Qiu.
Su Hongxing could hardly contain her laughter. Ye Qilan certainly had a talent for attracting women. One woman in the video and now a self-declared girlfriend showed up to cause trouble.
Who exactly had she married?
"Ye Qilan is my husband." Su Hongxing said flatly.
On the other end of the phone, there was silence for a moment and then the voice countered: "You're lying, he's meeting with me later. How can he possibly be your husband?!"
"You can ask him yourself!" Su Hongxing promptly hung up.
Ye Qilan seemed respectable enough, could he really be such a philanderer?
