Chapter 7
Lancaster household
He felt his consciousness returning and his eyes started to open. The sensation was truly refreshing after so long without a body.
"Milord! You are finally awake! I will go call the doctor." He heard a female voice say.
Once his eyes adjusted once more to the light, He was able to see the place that He was in.
His body was currently laying in a big and comfortable bed. He moved his gaze around the room. It was quite spacious and luxurious with many fancy decorations.
"It seems like I'm a noble of some kingdom. I wonder - ugg!!"
He felt a painful stab on the head as old memories of the previous owner of the body rushed into his mind.
He calmed down and did his best to put the memories in order. He was after all an extremely disciplined warrior, He would not lose control because of a bit of pain.
Once the process ended, He had a good number of memories to review. They were somewhat fragmented with many pieces missing but it was better than having nothing.
'It seems like my new name is Siegfried Lancaster. The only child of Arian Lancaster, a medium rank noble from the State of Aglioso...so, those religious bastards lost their kingdom in the end...'
His musings were interrupted when the door opened again. Two figures came inside the room.
The first one was an old man wearing a white tunic and the second one was the maid from before.
"Young Lord. Please, allow me to check your state."
"How did I arrive here?" While the healer was doing his checkup, He decided to ask.
The doctor was a bit surprised at how polite the young lord was being today but did no comment on it.
"Ser Douglas and some of the other guards found you unconscious near a lake. You have been sleeping for the last three days, My Lord."
The doctor stood up from the bed.
"I don't detect any problems. Make sure to drink and eat plenty to recover. If you need anything, you already know where to find me." He gave Siegfried a bow and left the room.
"Milord." The maid approached him. "You must be hungry, should I bring you something to eat?"
He looked at the maid, according to his memories, Her name is Teresa and she has been his personal maid for a very long time since He was a little child.
"Yes, that would be fine. Thank you, Teresa." He smiled at the maid. He may have been a King but He always treated his servants with respect.
Teresa opened her eyes widely for a moment but quickly composed herself and went on to accomplish her task.
Siegfried decided to stand up from the bed and take a look around.
There was a full-body mirror next to the closet, so He went to take a look at himself.
As soon as He was able to admire his new appearance, He could not help but groan in dissatisfaction.
"How can someone let himself go this badly."
His belly was huge, and his legs and arms were filled with fat. He has never seen someone so out of shape before.
He looked at his face and sighed.
"If it wasn't for all of that fat, I wouldn't even be bad looking."
He had the bluest eyes He has ever seen, they almost shone like jewels, and his hair had a very vivid red color. His face didn't look bad, other than the double chin.
'The family of Lancaster came from a long line of talented and powerful people. How could his father let his only child be spoiled like this?' He could not understand the logic of that.
During his previous life, He had six wives and many children. He made sure that all of them received proper training and were able to reach their full potential because He wanted to see them succeed in life.
He looked down at his belly again and sighed. "That's it, from tomorrow on, I will start my training regime again. I'll get this body back in shape in no time."
A knock on the door was heard.
"Yes?" He asked.
"The food is ready, Milord." Teresa opened the door and came inside carrying a big tray. Behind her were two other servants also carrying trays. They then preceded to place them on a big circular table that was in the room.
Sigfried approached the table and could not help but be shocked.
'How many people is this for?' He wondered.
The first tray contained a huge roasted chicken, the second one was filled with a small mountain of seared potatoes and the last tray contained many different types of fruits as well as some drinks.
"I know I haven't eaten in three days but this is a bit much, isn't it?" He could no help but ask.
Teresa made a confused expression. "Milord? this is the amount of food that you usually request for the first launch."
'Did she say first?...'
"Ah... that's fine, leave it." He is going to have a talk with the servants about reducing these rations.
'He was eating like this every day? no wonder it looks like I'm about to explode
"We will let you enjoy your meal then, I will be outside the door if you need anything, Milord." Teresa gave a curtsey and prepared to leave.
"Before you go. Do you mind preparing the bath for me?. I want to get cleaned after I'm done eating."
"Certainly Milord," Teresa said politely.

After eating his fill and resting for a bit, He decided to go outside his room.
As soon as He left the door, He found his other maid waiting for him.
A pretty little thing with shoulder-length blond hair and a thin figure.
She smiled at him and gave him a curtsey.
"Milord, let me escort you to your bath."
