章節 30: Death Is a Natural Part of Life

{Interdimension Travel}

In the teleportation room designated as "Teleportation room 1," the space was significantly larger than the one previously used for the 'ten failures'. The formation in this room was also five times more intricate and complex. The lines were not merely two-dimensional but were three-dimensional, climbing up the walls and the roof. To ensure that the lines were permanent and could not be erased, they were constructed of solid silver, the conductivity provided by the silver helped to make things run more smoothly.

"And you're sure that this will be able to take me to a fixed location in another world?" ~ E049 (Death is a natural part of life)(Currently walking to the center of the formation admiring how well kept this room is compared to the rest of the facility.)

A microphone was turned on behind a one-way glass window, and a voice explained, "The formation can only lock onto individuals who are originally from our world." Port Till was sweating profusely from being within 100 meters of E049. Although he wasn't afraid, it felt as if he was slowly dying. Despite the sensation, it was peaceful, almost as if it was a natural part of life.

E049 asked, "How do I select the person I want to travel with?" as he trailed his fingers across the ground, which felt polished to the touch as if the entire area had been sanded down.

"To target a person, all you need to do is pour some of their DNA onto the formation, and it will locate them within a few minutes. The teleportation distance is limited to within 100 meters to prevent placing the individual inside a solid object such as a wall."

E049 nodded in understanding and retrieved a vial labeled 'E001,' muttering, "Sadly, orders are orders," before returning it to his pocket. He then pulled out another vial labeled 'E1409,' opened it, and poured its contents into the center of the formation.

For a brief moment, nothing happened, but then the ground greedily absorbed all the blood that had been poured onto the formation.

There was a long pause, during which the ground made creaking sounds like old wood being stepped on, followed by tearing sounds like rubber being stretched to its limits.

Port Till pondered for a moment and then asked, "Mind if I ask, what exactly do you think of E001?"

E049, replied, "The man has the eyes of a hawk, he can see every movement, every twitch. Like one of those magicians that can 'read minds' by watching your every move. But he's different, he doesn't simply read minds or intentions, he modifies them using his own movements to influence their minds, while yes his ability already does that, it doesn't stop him from trying to find methods to make it even more efficient. I think he is much smarter than the company gave him credit for."

As Port Till closed his eyes, he reflected on his first encounter with E001 in a wheelchair. At the time, he had dismissed E001 as just a cripple, not giving him any consideration. However, as he thought more about it, he realized, [In that room, every individual had deliberately chosen to disregard E001. It was not due to any apprehension, they had simply treated him like air.]

After five minutes, the entire formation began to emit a bright red and silver glow.

When the glow subsided, the room was empty, and the transport had been completed.
