The sight of Gintya worried me. The sight of another human worried me. The fresh bonds were influencing me as much as I was them. I forced my grip on the girl away. Her mind was like an open book. She wanted the Kindon I had hatched. Even just one would allow her to marry the male she had wanted since childhood.

Phynic. That's what I was. It's why my family had truly hated me. Humans weren't capable of full telepathic ability. We would never see auras or broadcast thoughts the way others expected. The handful of Phynic Humans were a different breed. We could crack open someone's mind and take every secret they had. That was if they weren't strong enough to keep us out.
