Iris woke up the next morning and found herself alone. She looked at the spot beside her and knew Cane had slept there last night because that side was slightly unkempt, but it seemed he left very early in the morning.

Her face looked ecstatic to see Iris was up, as she giggled when she saw her hair. It almost looked like a lion's mane, as it framed her tiny face.
