Somewhere in the human territories. There have been strange events going on. First, there has been an increase in missing people, even with entire villages going missing. Second, there has been a rise in dungeons being made with them also being more potent and harsher than usual, although they were able to quickly snuff out these dungeons.
But something worrisome has been found at each of these locations that had most high-level figures in the human territories scared.
Traces of demon magic have been found in these areas. At first, they thought it was just cultists trying to use low-level demonic magic but they have been finding traces of higher-level demonic magic. Something that a human can't do.
Some types of magic are usable or dangerous to use to different types of species. Like humans, for example, they are unable to fully use demonic magic. That's because demon magic is too chaotic and destructive for the human body to handle, any weak humans that tried to wield this magic have their bodies destroyed from the inside with their minds going crazed. But if one were to make a pact with demons, they are partly able to use this magic but not to the full extent.
Although summoning a demon, it requires a lot of work, sacrifices, and materials depending on the strength of the demon. Even then the summoning may not even work or a demon may not answer the call. But IF, one was lucky enough they may get a demon to answer the summon. Several things can happen.
One, the demon kills the summoner and anything near it, which is the most common thing that happens. Two, the demon is killed or forcefully made into a slave, the first part being rare and the second part being even rarer. Three, the summoner is able to form a pact with a demon. Of course, there are other events that could possibly happen but these are the main ones.
Now back Into the human territories. A black-market information guild called 'Trusted End', with eyes and ears all over the land, they have been getting worrisome reports. There have been reports of cults forming faster and stronger than usual. There were even beasts found in the human territories corrupted with demonic magic. Although this is somewhat rare and a natural occurrence with a single beast somehow getting corrupted with demon magic, but what's not somewhat rare or natural is entire hords of different corrupted beasts coming together and causing destruction.
Now the leader of 'Trusted End' was mysterious to everyone, hell the guild itself just popped out of nowhere and offered its service to anyone that pays, yet 'no one' knows its true power. Expect the leader himself. Most people think of the leader of 'Trusted End' as an old powerful and ruthless man that is willing to do anything to get his way, as he waged many underground wars against other strong organizations, with him winning each battle.
Yet if they were to know that it was just a anti-social 25 year man that hasn't even killed a single person running the entire guild. They wouldn't believe it. But him being very powerful is true. The reason he's really powerful at a young age is that he's a reincarnator that has a system.
This man's true name is Joon-Hwan, he was originally a young south Korean man trying to get by in life and constantly played video games to have something exciting in his life. Before he died, he played the most popular VR game that was simply called [Eternal Life]. This game was set in a fantasy world filled with magic and swords, in this game anything was possible as it was powered and ran by an A.I that makes all of this possible, the players were able to change the lands of the game to their liking, choose any of thousands of jobs they were able to find, build entire kingdoms, armies and mainly wage wars.
Joon however was one of the more peaceful players of the game, preferring to stay in the background and let others do the work while he stays and works on his main job, the main reason why he even played the game. His main job? [God Artist].
This job he had was a unique job, meaning that only he had this job and no one else can gain it unless he passes it to someone else. The job allowed him to bring any drawing he makes come to life, the more refined the drawing is, the more powerful it becomes but also increasing the amount of magic needed to create it.
Now Joon-Hwan was one of the strongest players in the entire game, ranking 5th in the worldwide leader board. During a special event dungeon raid that only accepted players in the top 100, only he and the top 10 made it to the final boss room. Each of these high level players had a [God] level job yet only 3 players manage to survive and kill the boss.
The final boss was on a level that he had never seen before, they were only able to kill the boss because he and his 'team mates' used all the treasures they ever collected in the past 20 years and spent every single item just to kill the last boss. A True demon dragon god. But once he killed the boss, everything he used was worth it. He and both other players each got 1 reward, a single wish. But a problem came. He joked about his final wish to the other players, saying that he wished to be his game character. Next thing he knows, the game system he had said 'granted'.
His vision goes black and boom, he wakes up in a random forest. Now back into the present.
In the main headquarters of 'Trusted End', Joon was reading through the recent reports he had gotten about the findings of demonic magic. He was just scratching his head thinking how these reports make him believe that this world was following the special event of [Eternal Life], the same one where he fought the true demon dragon god. This scared him as he still was not even at his true strength when he transferred, as he lost a huge amount of his power. But the system he had allowed him to gain levels faster than before, but it still may not be enough.
The only thing he could do was pray that the gods of this world would do something and continued making his drawings.
Now somewhere in the center of the human territories is a single massive mountain taller than any mountain on earth peaking way above the clouds, probably estimated over 23 miles (37014 meters) tall. Yet the top of this mountain was weirdly flat with no snow at all, instead there was an entire giant white temple envelope with a golden aura. The inside of the temple was grand with so many of its walls filled with details of battles of the past or filled with paintings and treasures. In the middle of this temple sat 2 men drinking tea, one that looked young and one that looked old.
The young man had pure white hair, milky smooth skin, and completely white eyes, yet that was the most normal thing about this man. If anyone were to see him. They were able to see through his entire body.
The old man though had light gray hair, rough skin filled with muscles and scars with one of these scars forming deep within an eye. Leaving the old man with one working eye. If we were to look closer, we would notice an entire arm missing from the old man yet he seem unbothered by it.
"So I'm sure you heard about the reports" the old man decided to make the first move. The young man just smiled and sipped on some tea.
"It's time" The young man only responded with this as he finished his tea.
"Are you sure we should do this? You know how other worlders are. Plus what about the war we're about wage against your brothers and sisters!?" The old man seemed annoyed.
"We shall hasten the war, as new discoveries are being made everyday, once I get my siblings under my rule before 'they' come, we will be fighting a battle against 1 army. Instead of fighting each other. With the heroes that come, the war will be even quicker. I want more funds to be directed to weapon manufacturing, the more the merrier" The young man had a crazed smile on his face with a fervent gaze thinking how he will be the true ruler of this world. But he needs everything under his control before he fights 'them'.
"Don't worry, just use any means necessary to keep the 'heroes' under our rule." Once the young man said that, he suddenly disappeared in a bright golden light. Leaving the old man by himself.
