Azia woke up the following morning before dawn and couldn't help but wonder if she had dreamed up the entire encounter with Zeke in the woods. But as she let out a languid yawn, she could feel fresh marks in her mouth--a faint line where her teeth had dug against the inside of her upper lip. It was a wound she was vicariously familiar with, thanks to her more adventurous friends. It was a wound that happened after making out, hard.

She touched her fingers to her mouth and grinned despite herself.

Zeke flew through his morning ablutions as if it were Christmas morning and he knew all of his favorite things would be under the tree. His entire body felt electric with anticipation. How would Azia act when she saw him? He couldn't be sure, but he couldn't wait to find out.
