In the town of Custom, an old mage by the name of Ragisis took four girls as his apprentices to train them in magic to protect the town.
Maria Custard - A mage specializing in water magic, she's also a brilliant inventor who prefers Science over Magic. She has a dangerous tendency to lose sight of everything around her when she's focused on something.
Mill Yorks - An expert handler of eidolons, strange beings not of this world or the next. She has the personality of a mischievous child, yet she cares a great deal for her family and would never hesitate to sacrifice herself for them.
Elenoir Ran - A ruthless mage skilled enough with a sword to be recognized as a magic fencer. She's cool-headed and mature beyond her years. The second strongest of the four, able to make snap judgements at a moment's notice.
Shizuka Masou - The leader of the four. A genius who's mastered all magic, her prowess is unmatched. Her one weakness is her passionate nature, which can prevent her from making rational decisions.
Several years later.....

In the town of Custom, once again. Dark clouds were formed, as these four confronted Ragisis for a currently unknown reason.
"Ragisis!" Shizuka, the green haired mage, pointed at her teacher angrily, as Ragisis sighed.
"You insist on this?" He spoke, before opening his eyes and glaring at his four adoptive daughters.
A long battle raged forth between the daughters of Ragisis and Ragisis himself, destroying huge parts of the town of Custom.
In the end, Ragisis died, and the four mages of Custom buried the town underground and prevented the townspeople and unfortunate people and adventurers who entered the town from ever leaving using a powerful barrier.
They were now known as the Four Witches of Custom. You might know them as the "Rebellious Maidens" soon enough.
